Useless for Advances. Repayment is Absolutely awful!!
First off, I never liked the interface. I found it cumbersome and does not put the most important info upfront.
I’m familiar with advance apps and thought I’d use this one to help bridge between paydays. I received an initial advance of $100 which was great…until I realized that any money that goes into the account will automatically be used to repay the advance, even if you took out the advance that same day! I thought they’d debit me to repay the advance on my payday-which makes sense, but that is not the case. It made me so mad when I received a deposit the next day after getting a B9 advance (the advance was going to go to a bill, and then I was going to deposit some money for misc expenses until I got paid)-and the full deposit went to paying back the advance, leaving me with nothing until payday.
This shocked me so much because no other offering advances app does this. I immediately changed my direct deposit back to my old bank and closed this account. Absolutely useless.Show lesssmhslade

If I could give zero stars I would. The promise of funds for payday loans is ridiculous. You have to literally bank with them in order to get the option. But the fees to move money is ridiculous! I used cash app and was charged a dollar. Who does that? Sending money with this app is not worth it. Adding money to the account isn’t either because they charge a dollar fee for that too SMH. I’ve never seen a bank charge money to ADD FUNDS! Read the fine print. Then I tried to close the account. There was a dime left.. they said move it all or we can’t close the account. So I spent a dollar to send funds to the account and another dollar to withdraw the funds just to get my account closed. Worst experience ever. I have been using the service couple of months. I didn’t receive my direct deposit because the bank they use evolve notice my account number changed but routing number is the same. The banking platform Arglye that B9 uses has screwed up everything in my Payroll site MyPay. One of my allotments is now listed as my direct deposit now I never made any changes to my direct deposit I need answer and why direct deposit got deposited into a totally different bankShow lessconfused44

Awful awful awful!!!! Please don’t use this app the interface is so confusing and they somehow get you signed up to a monthly subscription and there is no way to cancel but contacting their customer service through email. They don’t respond to any of my messages if I get charged i am going to have to dispute the transaction and cancel my bank account all over a cheap app that is super confusing save your self the time the money and the stress this app is not worth it I hope this company crumbles and disappears.Show lessMrDlozo
WORST APP - DO NOT DOWNLOAD
I downloaded this app and they put me in a $9.99 plan that you can’t undo. I have searched everywhere a ‘Cancel Subscription’ button with no luck. I contact support and ask if I cancel my subscription the on the same day I downloaded the app, would I still be charge in a month, here is Rep. Damaris contradictory reply:
“ William, If we cancel the account you will not be charged And if you were charged for the monthly membership fee, we are unable to refund it.” -Damaris

Zero Star Bank
Horrible bank. They don’t tell you up front how the advance works. If you ask, they’ll just tell you that you need $300 deposited. When you do, then they will advise you you can only have like 27 dollars of an advance.
I’m not complaining how their rules are set up. But they should TELL you do you don’t get charged their HIDDEN fee’s. They steal money from you when you deposit. I deposited 550, but I could only see 549 of my pay check. They probably took a fee because I got paid. They also charge a percentage of you transfer money to Apple Cash.
This bank is a scam. Obviously they don’t want to be up front with you, and there are other banks who are up front with you. This isn’t one of them. I wish I could get all my money back that they stole from me.Show lessastraith

The description makes it sound like you can repay your advance when you get your regular paycheck, but that is not the case. Instead, they will debit any deposit you make with an advance outstanding and use it to partially credit your advance. Effectively leaving you penniless unless you can deposit enough to cover your advance and then take another one.
No other advance app works this way and they are not at all transparent on how repayment works. Go with money lion and leave these knuckleheads alone.Show lesseverynivknameitryistaken

I’ve been using B9 for about 4 or 5 months now and I’ve never ever had an issue. Always paid two days early and receive my loan the same day I pay it back. Definitely will refer my family and friends and anyone else who’s looking for that extra help before payday.Straberree77
They need to be sued
I was going to get my deposit sent to their account but when my boyfriend got his paycheck it was sent there and he recently had a number change and all of a sudden he is locked out his account. We have spoken and text numerous agents to change the number so that we can access his funds and they keep saying they are working on it…To change a number!!!! That’s absolutely ludicrous. I don’t even think they are even in the states which says a lot already. P.S they are no way by far better than chime. I have NEVER seen anything like this on ANY bank!Show lessNookie31

ZERO STARS——-I downloaded this, gave them my direct deposit information but never ended up needing a small loan so I chose to close account before another monthly fee was charged. Its nearly impossible to not get an automated message when reaching out to customer service, which is the only way to "close" the account. Secondly, they make you transfer money they took from my check to a different bank account. WEEKS later I finally get them to close it and they are STILL taking money from each pay check!
