Permissions need to be conditional
I don’t use Apple music or iTunes. Why do I need to grant “Media & Apple Music” permissions? I don’t ever plan on using ‘Smart Pairing’ so why do I need to grant ‘Camera’ permissions? You should prompt for those permissions when someone tries to use those features and not at app launch.
Not sure why you chose to remove the multiple volume sliders per audio source like previous apps had. The auto lower volume on intercom conversation is super annoying so that’s off immediately. With this app you can’t adjust music volume separate of intercom volume anymore.

Doesn’t work at all
Was hoping this app would get rid of my other 3 sena apps that don’t work well.
But this just continually refreshes on the very first screen when it’s trying to connect to the paired device.snkwkwkekdkdk88393

Why in the world does this need to be so difficult? Purchased a brand new Impulse (not cheap) and downloaded the app. Now I’m stuck in never never land as nothing wants to work properly because the firmware requires an update which after 3 hours still isn’t complete. I haven’t even had a chance to check out the Harmon Kardon speakers as I haven’t even rode with the helmet on. I was warned but ignored the warning. I’m very close to putting this pile of @&$@&#%*’ back in the box and shipping it back. I expected so much more from SENAShow lessMr student
Garbage
I own a 10c-EVO, 2023 SMH-10, and my wife has a helmet with a built in Sena device. The devices never connect properly to the app. It takes an hour sometimes to get all three devices to intercom. Because this app won’t connect to the SMH-10, it’s not possible to use the new QR code connection method. I have spent a good deal of money on Sena devices and I wish Sena would get their act together.Show lessDavidMcKee
Terrible App
Not user friendly or very intuitive, when trying to setup a new unit or doing firmware updates.
However the day to day interface is acceptable. I prefer the previous version of this app over this one.

Updating through this app doesn’t work
Tried for hours through several days to update my headsets and it tells me they are update when I factory reset them to v1.0. I know the latest version is at least 2.0.cnzmznxkx

Sena, please hire a proficient UX person and stop making SO MANY APPS!
Sena has already flooded the store with a confusing and unnecessary collection of apps. Worse, they often use non-descriptive generic names like “Sena Utility” or “Sena Motorcycle”. There’s no reason why there shouldn’t be one app for all devices, regardless of features. Use application libraries to organize your code. Sena could cut development time and costs by maintaining one main device app which would hopefully let them focus more on user experience. Not to mention it would cut down on user frustration or customers stuck with abandoned apps for devices that they no longer care about.
Also, the app doesn’t need all these permissions for all devices. Stop requiring everything with a soft wall. It’s very easy to ignore a permission until a user accesses a feature that requires it. I’m guessing the code is spaghetti which would make it difficult without breaking it up and organizing it first. Probably time to refactor.
Personally, I simplify wanted to update a new SRL2 device. I hunted through the dozens of apps for the one I needed. Sena Utility literally has screenshots showing compatibility with the SRL2. NOPE. Loading up that app redirects me to download this app. But not before harassing me to update my firmware with no ability to do it. Yes, I’d love to. Then, after fighting with this app and wildly unnecessary permission requirements, I finally get to a screen that tells me to DOWNLOAD THE FIRMWARE UPDATE ON MY PC.
Come on, Sena. Look at these reviews. Clean up your code. Do better.Show lessErick.B
