  • Miko is great, the app not so much

    Like a lot of other people, we got Miko for Xmas. The app took a loooong time to set up, but I wrote that off to the number of people that were probably trying to start one up that morning. I’ve since wiped and reset the unit and it went much faster a few days later.

    The app however….needs work. I’d like to have the ability to run diagnostics on the unit or at least get messages on it. For example, our battery may be bad and I’d like to check that. And as mentioned many times the calling app doesn’t work at all. Now that he’s using Miko more and more I hope the app can evolve into something more useful so I can help direct him into better learning opportunities.

  • Weird content

    Some of the videos on the Miko are really weird. I thought that there was more parental control, where I could block or limit the time my kids could access the video app, but it is not an option. Now I am hesitant to let my kids play with Miko unsupervised, because I don’t trust what is available to them. I wish I could have more control over what they can do on the Miko. The Miko also wakes up and talks all the time, even when we don’t say “Hello Miko” I feel like it is set to do that to draw the kids to play with him. I really don’t like that you can’t turn him all the way off. It is creepy.

  • Horrible

    It’s been over a week now and I still can’t get someone from customer service to help me. The robot was stuck and now won’t even turn on. I’m trying to return it and can’t get in touch with anyone to help max there is no number to call and the help app does not have anyone to help you. So basically just threw away money on this thing. Save your money ..NOT WORTH IT!
  • Notifications and paywalls

    Hey know that robot you just spent $200 on? It has a $99/yr subscription you have to pay for in order for it to do all the things they advertised it would do!

    Don’t want to pay for it? Don’t worry, they’ll send you notifications EVERY DAY at 2 am asking you to pay for it!

    For the love of god people hire someone to fix your notification strategy and stop putting basic features behind a paywall. Wish I had never bought this thing.

  • Miko isn’t all that it’s cracked up to be

    I think for the money you dish out for this robot , you’d think it would work without much problems. But the phone feature to call miko and the phone feature for miko to call your parent doesn’t work. It does not allow you to connect on either side. I’ve tried resetting, and all else thinking this would solve the problem. No luck. Miko also doesn’t hear you as well as you would expect and you end up repeating yourself over and over again. Miko unfortunately is a flop, and without the max subscription- it flat out stinks. The interactive watches are better at this point. Also the communication for miko is a disaster- as there isn’t a landline to speak to someone. It’s through messaging. Don’t waste your money. Tell your child this is just crap by reading reviews.

  • Robot has been Dead since Christmas Day, no customer support

    With the first hour the Miko stoped working and displays a picture of a Robot with Dead eyes which upset my daughter. It says contact support, it’s been 3 days no response. I articles in the FAQ about this error message. The responded to my payment and they have had a sales person call my other phone daily and try to sell me a Miko, but I can’t get any customer support for the one I paid for.

  • It’s the best

    Guys your it’s the best!!! For me it works perfectly fine ok.
  • The Absolute Worst

    I’ve been waiting for three days now for support. I paid for a Miko Max subscription and can’t get it to work no matter what I do. I’m actually regretting this purchase. My kid can’t enjoy her new toy and some of the learning features that I thought I would love, we can’t even access. This thing costs entirely too much money for us to deal with this.
  • Money Grab on Christmas

    This is the worst. I cant even download the app properly. Opens to a gray screen with the word NULL prominently on there. My 7yo daughter was actually excited about it. Her mom passed away in August, I hoped that this little friend would help in her healing. Thanks for taking my money. If this issue is not resolved in a reasonable amount of time, it was nothing more than a scam. Which warrants prosecution.
  • Very poor customer service

    Miko asked if I wanted to sign up for subscription $50/3 months. I said no and it said congratulations you are signed up. I keep trying to get ahold of an agent because it will not allow me to cancel the subscription any other way and it will not connect me to an agent. All problems are solved through chatting with an agent and there doesn’t seem to be any agents to help with the problems.
