Great QR Code Creator, but Subscription Pricing Feels High for Occasional Use

QR Factory is an excellent app for creating QR codes. Within just a few minutes of using the app, I was able to generate multiple QR codes with personalized colors, an image at the center, and add descriptive titles below the codes to provide clear instructions to users.

The only downside is the pricing model, which seems expensive for my occasional use. While the app's power and features may justify the cost for some, I wish there was a lite version catering to occasional use, with disabled advanced features.

Despite this pricing concern, QR Factory deserves a 5-star rating for its ease of use and customization options. It's a reliable tool for creating high-quality QR codes.

You must prepay for the one-week "free trial"

If you are looking for a simple QR code creator, there are plenty of free ones for download. This isn't one of them.

Just to clarify, the free trial is actually free since there is no prepayment (it would be against the App Store rules). The 7 day trial is completely free and if cancelled before it expires, then there is no charge. Inside the app, it conveniently displays how many days remain in the trial along with clear instructions and a link on how to cancel.

Runs Tool Slow

I'm running a 2020 MB Pro with 16GB of memory, and after every mouse click, the pinwheel pops up and I need to wait on the program. All I'm encoding is a simple URL. Too painful to keep waiting on the program to use. Other than that, it would be a nice program

We're truly sorry this happened when creating a URL QR code. We do have an update about to be released (3.3.4) which significantly improves the rendering speed on macOS, so that should make a big difference. If you're still experiencing the same issue after the update, please let us know and we'd be happy to help.

Does it all!

I started using this app since the first version.
The developer was ALWAYS super responsive and took in account all suggestions. Including the one suggestion saying he should NOT make it a subscribtion app.

I use this app for work a couple of time a year, and it beats all the ones I found on line. Definitely worth it. No reason to give anything else than 5 stars.

DYNAMIC QR CODE CREATION?

In general I LOVE this app!!! Is there any development of Dynamic QR Codes (Add notification email of Number of Scans) within QR Factory?

Working Great So Far!

App is great for making quick QR codes. Lately on television, I noticed QR codes are generated in a circular pattern, instead of a square. I'm hoping this app will give us this option. Thanks!

Not fully reliable

Code doesn’t work for my Etsy shop using my purchased domain that forwards to it. Works if I use the assigned Etsy url, but not my separate domain url. Domain works perfectly with QR code made in other software, just not with QR factory generated QR code for it.

Love the App!

This app does everything I need it to do. Even better if I have a question, I contact the Devs and they respond quickly. Very. quickly with a polite and helpful response. Made it easy to spend $$ for the lifetime plan.
