Do not trust

I paid for a perpetual licence for version 2 in the App store about a year ago and I use it about once a month. I came to re-install it today on my new Mac and version 2 is no longer available in the app store. When I "restore purchases" with version 3, it tells me there are no purchases to restore.

The only option seems to be pay again for version 3 (which is pretty pricey) so I am opting to purchase a different QR code generator from a more trustworthy vendor.

Just a quick note that you can still download QR Factory 2 that you purchased using the "Purchased" tab in your account. We also added the ability to upgrade to V3 for a very reduced price since you already own V2 - that will be shown in the option to purchase a Lifetime License when the app is started.

Amazing App FANTASIC Support!

I use this app almost daily for work and I absolutely love it. Not only can you create tons of different types of QR Codes, but you can export them as vectors. As a brand and graphic designer, this is absolutely game-changing for me.

I contacted the developer about a bug I found and got a response back within a few minutes. On top of that, they were already working on a fix for it and were nothing short of solution-oriented.

10/10, absolutely recommend this app, and couldn’t be happier with the whole experience!

needs work

There are a couple of issues : (1) It inserts an advertisement in the "person id" QR code (2) The map search function for "location" QR code is useless and the drop pin function gives no feedback on where the pin is actually dropped (3) the raw code cannot be edited (4) there is no number generation capability for asset tags (5) Whatsapp is missing from the social media list

Thanks for the feedback. (1) There are ZERO advertisements in any of the QR codes generated since they are all made locally and we don't own or host them in any way. (2) We're working on a fix for the next update to resolve the issues with the map. (3) The raw code can't be edited because it would be easy to break the format which would cause the QR code to not be scannable. (4) We're looking at adding in the ability to have auto incrementing numbers for multiple codes, although for now it can be easily done in Excel/Numbers. (5) WhatsApp is in the social media list now.

One star for now

I downloaded this and can't even try it for the 1 week free: it immediately wants you to subscribe or lifetime purchase before you can do anything.

If at some point you do offer a 'free trial' without requiring a subscription, perhaps I'll come back and evaluate.

We're sorry you had an issue with how the free trial works. The only way to offer a free trial on the App Store is by starting a subscription, which can be cancelled at any time. We've made this clearer along with instructions on how to cancel so it's easy to start the free trial and not get charged if you don't like it.

Might be mighty. I'll never know. Way over the top expensive will all the alternatives out there.
If you create codes 27/7 it might be perfect.

Great Developer Support!!!!

I purchased the old version of this app the same week this new app released and the developer gave me an upgrade. Super helpful support team!

The new software is a great upgrade! The app looks more current. They added a few settings to help customize the QR codes which is appreciated. Since I use QR codes for my business to access information in the field, an app like this is worth every penny!!
