  • Good App

I downloaded the app thinking I would be able to meet people with similar struggles and also share some insight I’ve learned through some months of therapy. It’s definitely a great app with great intentions behind it, it’s completely free and super easy to use. It’s basically just a space (mainly for teens) to vent. The app isn’t the problem, it’s the way people are using it. People need to know how to be empathetic and listen and communicate with others before they are give the space to just talk. The chat was just crazy and filled with lots of negative comments. I tried to counter a lot of the things people were saying about those who were sharing some really deep and personal stories but it was too much. A lot of the people using the app were really immature and invalidating. However, I think the timed chat is great if you just want to vent but please give trigger warnings and be mindful of what you say.

Hi there, thanks for sharing this concern. We will closely monitor members who are spreading negativity. As much as possible we want to make sure we create a safe space for everyone so this is definitely something we will look into. Thank you.
  • Needs way more work

Rooms have schedules, seems like a chat chamber rather than allowing people to continue conversations and create deeper connections with those going through the same issues. Rooms should allow smaller groups, why do we need 1000 ppl before a room under a specific subject becomes made? Also majority of the people I heard LITERALLY ask for followup from others and there’s no option other than message or to provide your own number, why can’t y’all facilitate more rooms? Somethings need age restrictions, and often time people are high or drunk or etc. A adult there’s so much more y’all should have considered before releasing. Also ratings on this app aren’t accurate there are a lot of fake reviews. Sketch

  • Free therapy/venting

This is a really great app. In my opinion, I tried other therapy and talking abs but mostly everything you have to pay for which is really unfortunate. The app is 100% free and I haven’t seen anything you need to pay for yet except to customize your profile, which isn’t a basic need so overall the app is really really useful. I had my first meeting last night and they have multiple meetings throughout the night. I’m not sure about the day. each meeting is about an hour long and everyone gets three minutes to share, and if you need to, you can go to more than once. The people are really really nice and I haven’t met any trolls or anything on here yet. And there’s also report button if you are concerned about someone’s safety or if someone’s not taking up seriously.

There’s good options to mooch out to people after they speak, or when they speak in kinda get to know them, or talk to them about certain things. Overall, I really really recommend this app and I will be using it more.

  • Potential ⭐️⭐️

I have enjoyed this app and see that there is potential for this app in the future! But I do think there should be some changes. I have been in meetings with 12-year-olds and 20-plus-year-olds. I would like to see meetings separated between minors and adults. I can't speak about my situation when a 12-year-old would like to include their insight and I don't feel comfortable speaking about adult problems to such a young individual. I believe there should be a moderator in meetings. There have been trolls taking up 3 minutes of the meeting playing silly noises or weird meme music. The meeting ends before people who need to speak can and there is a lost opportunity because of such trolls. Before each speaker, it would be nice to have a Tw button that pops up above the speaker's name stating they will be talking about sa, sh, or ed. If possible it would be nice if there were meetings throughout the night but I could see why this would be difficult to implement. Thank you, for making an app with the benefit of mental health in mind. I hope to see this app grow in the future.

Hi there! Thanks so much for your concern. We just launched our Twenty-somethings room. There's a lot of different rooms catered to different individuals concerns in our updated features. Let us know once you've got in.
  • Great Concept

Great concept however, I feel there is lots of room for negativity, hate speech, and harmful acts. Definitely room to grow.

Again, I love the concept but groups and communities should be divided by age for safety purposes. My first meeting I felt a little strange because when I joined a very young girl was sharing. Helping this girl overcome her obstacles and make her feel like she is in a safe space is important. But protecting children from certain adult problems is also necessary. I felt uncomfortable sharing in the presence of children and young teenagers for their own well being and mental safety. Certain stories will absolutely scare them, and be much too inappropriate for them.

I feel like sharing by talking is not always accessible too. Lots of people have roommates/family members that might not want to hear what they are sharing. For accessibility purposes text options should be available for smaller groups or communities.

How can we make this app safe for people using it by preventing the glorification of self harm? There are people that genuinely believe self harm is okay, and there are trolls that encourage self harm. There must be a solution found that prevents this from happening to keep people safe. Most users won’t share SH related topics, but again, there is room on this app for hate speech, negativity and the encouragement of harmful acts.

  • app spaces need at TW

I originally downloaded this app to feel comfort in going through a hard time. I thought it would be talk rooms for people in similar experiences to me. These rooms are only accessible at certain hours and a scheduled time. Outside of those times you have to sit in a community meeting for an hour plus before you can speak. I found many of these meetings triggering for things that no longer affected me and other sensitive subjects that I know others could feel unexpectedly triggered by ( TW ex: SH, ED, etc.). The other side of this meeting was having to hear a lot of peoples issues with relationships, parents, and friends which is great to have a space for but in contrast to the topics above there was no middle areas. I feel that there NEEDS to be mediators in this app. There needs to be specific groups for certain situations so people with mutual issues can be heard and hold a safe space 24/7 or at least a tag someone can add to their vent if someone wants to step out for it. Marketing this app as a form of online group therapy really felt like false advertising to me. It feels more of an online trauma dump space rather than a mental health oriented app. It doesn’t rely on any professional help but the other people going in to vent to give their own advice to each other wether wanted or not.

Hey there, thank you for letting us know your concern. We are currently working on moderating members within the app. Our moderators are working hard on making sure the members feel safe and comfortable, we are looking into members more closely now and taking out members who don't follow the guidelines but we will continue to improve more and keep an eye out on this. We are also releasing new features and new categories within the app. The meetings and community chat is now open 24/7 so you can access it anytime of the day. Thank you for your comment we will make sure to create a more safe and friendly user experience. Thanks for the support.
  • Humans anonymously

Humans anonymously has helped me through so much mentally mainly because I can relate to what people on here are going through mentally and see that I’m not alone . Everyone supports everyone on this app no one to judge you because everyone understands and values what you’re going through. Mainly because they relate to you and also feel heard … the people on here can honestly give you so much motivation by shooting you a text on the app and the motivational texts after then hearing what you’re going through. Really makes you feel better and makes you feel less sad and instead of down you feel that you’re not alone .. and you’re very normal because we are humans we’re not perfect. But this app and the people on the app assures you will not feel alone no matter what you’re going through.

  • Got banned for talking lol

I legit just got banned for being happy and trying to share to everything what’s been going on in my life (one fault of mine is that I curse a lot so that could have smth to do with it) but like I legit don’t understand that, you can’t share what’s really on your mind? I was just having a good time. I love hearing everyone speak and the fact that I was banned is kinda sad. Just know if your trying to be positive they also might ban you for that xx ❤️ It’s whatever I loved all the people I made friends with and thank you to the people who have giving me advice ❤️❤️ love you guys so much and Ty for allow me to rant when no one else would listen to me I lost this outlet but it’s okay bc I’ll just cope in my head 💀 Kinda wish they had an 18+ chat room where it doesn’t have to be PG 🙂

Hi, thanks so much for flagging this and writing to us! So sorry you had that experience. We really try hard to keep the rooms safe for everyone, but sometimes we end up banning for the wrong reason. We might be able to get you back on the app. Can you please email community@humansanonymous.co. Also, we are opening a 21+ meeting very soon. Thank you! :)
  • i highly recommend this app

when I first download this app, I didn’t expect much. I expected it to be just like every other app that makes you pay for everything. I just downloaded this app today and I am absolutely in love with it. It’s really good to just be able to listen to what other people are going through and what other people are struggling with to know that you are not alone because you will have a lot in common with other people and what they are struggling with and you have a three minute chance to just talk just vent you can ask for advice you can just sit there and talk and nobody knows who you are. I highly recommend this app. Thank you human anonymous.

  • Real People Who Listen!

Ever feel like the world is crashing down on you and all you need is someone to lend you a ear? Yea, me too! This is an amazing app where beautiful and caring people all over the world, sits and listen to you vent about your day to day conflicts and struggles, whilst showing support. The app is easy to navigate through and it even easier to show support to someone on the app. I highly recommend for teens like me who need someone to listen to them when they’re having a rough time with life.
