Photo quality sent to phone is so bad
Says 2MB photo, but they are actually around 300KB. I don’t mind getting 2MB photos with better quality. Otherwise the transfer to photo feature is useless, I might as well take photo with my phone…raymondzzd
Need level on phone display
Why can’t I turn on the digital level? And when I format my cards please rewrite the volume names! I hate having 2 untitled disks and having to rename them each time When I take a bracketed shot and want to delete it. Give me an option to delete the whole bracket. Ver 2.1.1 - now it is working
So far I haven’t experienced any major issues, like getting disconnected during a session, and connecting with the camera (A7RV) is painless with this version. There are other issues that prevent me from giving it 5 stars, but at least it is serviceable. However I’m only using it as a remote control and didn’t touch any of the cloud features.Show lessbarnaby416
A good app with some quirks
I really like the app for control of my cameras and transferring photos but the connection can be annoying. It typically disconnects once then after that, it’ll stay connected. Transfers are also pretty slow. Would like to see those aspects improved. Also perhaps video transfer would be another nice thing to have.Show lessNcstarman
Convenience
Just start using the app and I’m telling you it has been really cool to be able to see my cameras current view from my phone. Haven’t had any lags and I’m able to easily send and edit these videos and photos… I’m sold. Absolutely love this feature.bigloog
Needs a bit of work
First, please stop constantly asking for permission to access all photos. I don’t want or need to provide that. The app disconnects during live shooting often, despite being less than 3 feet from the camera. I look forward to seeing improvements. Location Linkage is also unreliable, forcing me to check my phone every time I power on the camera.Show lessHugh M
Focus Point Location
Is it possible to highlight the focus point once imported to phone or tablet. You can see it in live view in camera. Would be helpful or culling on a larger screen. Thanks.TRACKSIDE TONY
mixed bag - some issues need fixing
The new Creators’ App is certainly better than Sony Imaging Edge, but it still has a few issues.
(1) Even with the brand new a6700 and this new app, I still regularly get unexpected disconnects from the camera, especially the first time I connect. Always a frustrating start to importing in a hurry. Errors like “Could not perform” are probably not the humorous self-deprecating critique they’re meant to be.
(2) There’s no way to just import all new photos/videos. Every time you go to import, you’re presented with the full set (by day), so if it’s been a while, or if you’re re-importing for the 2nd or 3rd time that day, you have to go back and check where you got up to.
(3) There’s no easy way to select a lot of photos, except by entire days. So if you’ve imported once or twice during the day, it gets more and more complicated to select all the new photos one by one by one by one… I’m effectively discouraged from regularly syncing my camera card to my phone. The only valid critique anyone has put forward on the new a6700 is the single memory card slot. A functional quick-re-sync to your phone would obviate the need for a 2nd card, by allowing you to backup regularly. Fix this.
(4) As a camera remote, it should have a watch companion app. This would be amazing when you’ve got your hands full with what you’re shooting.Show lessthe-frog
Really good app
Never really along with play memories very well but this creators app is really good. Love the control over the camera and the ability to download shots to me phone when the camera is switched off. Awesome!bt2282
