Just doesn’t work
Claims to connect camera and app but then does not do anything. Give it a little while and up pops a message saying it has failed to connect, right next to an icon saying it is connected, and while a message on the camera says it is connected. It is unusable.cricket box
A very useful app
To tell you the truth I wasn’t expecting it to be this good, it’s got a social media element to it and I’ve already created my profile, created a project on there, and uploaded a photo. This was within the first 5 minutes of me having downloaded it.
And it has some very useful features like allowing you to control the camera with it’s manual and auto features from your device, which is always useful. And of course downloading images and video from your camera to your device.
It also led me to the discovery of Master Cut (beta) a from SONY, an online cloud Ai video editing system, which has the potential to be awesome.Show lessreebok29A

Overly Aggressive Demands for Photo Access
If you’re like me and only want to use this app to remotely control your camera and see the current feed, be prepared for constant dialogue boxes asking for permission to your photo library. I don’t want to give it permissions as I have no need, nor desire, to transfer videos or photos using this application. I only want remote viewing and control. Is that too much to ask for? Currently yes, as it constantly keeps asking for photos access with no way to disable. I have to click cancel repeatedly when using this application. Developers please give us an option to disable this overly aggressive demand for full access to the photo library. I am never going to give it permission, so please give me an option to use the functionality I need in peace!Show lessBubbaJoeBobMac
terrible location connection
I used IME for my other Sony camera A73, A9 The gps location save to camera is always reliable. No matter the cellphone or the camera were in sleep mode. Once the camera is awake, the location is linked in camera. However, for my new A7r5, I have to use this creator app. Whenever mobile or camera are in sleep mode. The connection is lost. I have to manually awake camera and the creator app to restore the connection.Show lessmetang11111
Total junk!
This app is a complete junk! It won’t connect with A7IV, I keep getting “Could Not Connect” message. I performed all the troubleshooting steps, deleted paired devices in settings, changed location permissions on the phone, it still does NOT pair with the camera. It is SO embarrassing that Sony is stuck in the early 2000’s with their Bluetooth/WI-FI technology and simply incapable of delivering a reliable solution. The Imaging Edge app was terrible but this one simply does not work at all. It’s a shame!Show lessMatreve
It’s bad, usually.
Spelling and grammar mistakes in the prompts. It BARELY connects to the camera without reboots and re-pairing. When it works it’s good, if you can get it to work. It’s a nightmare to use. I’d avoid it.Ze3bar
GPS geotagging disconnects when camera turns off
The only reason I downloaded this app is to attach the phone's geotag to the photos. But my a7r V (firmware version 2.0) turns off after a few minutes. When it wakes up, it doesn't auto reconnect to the phone. There's no point having this feature if one has to reopen the app every time the camera turns off, which happens all the time. One step forward one back
Sony changed to this new app for A7 owners and its an upgrade for UI and finally you can wirelessly transfer RAW. Unfortunately I have to unlock my phone and open the app every time to sync GPS. The old app could do this automatically after setup. Stability is still a bit hit and miss.BufferUnderrun
Always crashes
I’m using iPhone 14 Pro Max and Sony A7IV this app is unreliable. It takes time to connect and if it’s connected it will disconnect automatically. Too many issues that needs to be fix.Deej.P
