You Can No Longer Submit Building Wide Maintenance Requests

If the building lock is broken or an elevator is out you can no longer submit a maintenance request

Hey Ryjacs, We're sorry that this functionality is currently not available in our app. We are working hard to add new features, including community maintenance requests in the future. In the mean time, you're able to submit a maintenance request for community issues by either reaching out to your community manager, or through the Resident Portal website.

Canโ€™t put in maintenance requests

The app is quite buggy. The latest is putting in a maintenance request. You select the item that needs maintenance and it takes you to a screen with a text box for more info and a next button. The button is greyed out forcing you to write something. But when you write a description, the keyboard blocks the button and there is no way to make the keyboard go away so I canโ€™t put in any requests!

While the keyboard is up, can you try tapping the screen outside the keyboard? That should clear the keyboard and allow you to submit your request. Even though my number is valid

Bug: Phone Number marked as invalid

The regex used for checking if a phone number is invalid fails for numbers such as 312 222 4321, despite this being a valid number, please consider using more accurate filters, google NANP phone number regex.

The app wonโ€™t even let me in. It wonโ€™t recognize my information even though I have lived here since the building opened!

Broken, buggy, pointless

This app was ostensibly created to replace the existing Greystar resident app, but it fails to match even the basic functionality due extremely poor design decisions and a buggy interface.

Payments, for example, are no longer done through an in-app interface, but instead require opening an in-app web browser to login to the resident website. Why on earth this decision was made is beyond me. The old app handled payments directly inside the app without the clunky, often buggy, web browser, and didnโ€™t require additional logins.

This by itself is enough to give this ill conceived waste a one star rating. People famously love it when you take something that works well, and replace it with something that doesnโ€™t work at all half the time.

As for the rest of the app, it constantly fails or takes excessive amounts of time to load anything.

Why this app was rushed out, when it so clearly is not finished, is beyond me. Maybe over time theyโ€™ll update it to the point itโ€™s usable, but I wouldnโ€™t be the least bit surprised if they leave it broken, the same way they leave half the amenities on the property I live in broken.

I can only assume, like so many other halfassed โ€œimprovementsโ€ they make, this broken app will be touted as a new โ€œamenityโ€ to justify further obscene rent increases.

If Greystar canโ€™t fix a doorknob or an air conditioner in a timely fashion, definitely donโ€™t count on them to fix this anytime soon. Or at all.
