App ok, push notifications terrible

The app seems pretty good now, but the sending of push notifications is bad. I often receive the same message twice and often days after a transaction. A time to live on messages would be good (or fix the backend)

My least favourite bank app

I particularly dislike how if I haven’t “closed” the app for a while, when I open it it’ll show me where I was, but then immediately go to an error telling me I have to log in again (which is just a faceid button away from the Home Screen anyway). Why can’t it either go straight to the Home Screen, or automatically try to log me in if it’s been to long?

On the plus side, careless cash, payid, and contactless all work fine.

The quick login does NOT work

I have recently bought a new phone and as I installed the Bank SA app and login. I wanted to setup quick login Face ID. I have set it up more than 20 times. Yet every single time when I put in my details I get into this vicious cycle where I need to re-fill-in, my details over and over again. I have spoken to the online “chat” not useful in way how so ever. It is extremely frustrating, because not only do I have to login my details I must do it 3 times because “my password’s incorrect” but somehow the 4th time with the same “incorrect password” suddenly works.

Please do something about this issue because I know for a fact I’m not the only person having this issue. P.S isn’t this app made to have things more convenient for customers why are we needing to go out of our way to just log on to this app. And not to say we must logon 4 different times to actually get on the app.

Outages, no compensation??

Compensation for outages..? Have had occurrences when your systems go down and I can’t access my money in times when it’s not an option to not have it. Love getting to my destination in a cab and having my card decline over and over when its got a grand on it for a $50 trip then the app can’t even open and your atms are also down so I have to resort to the cab taking me back home to get cash and adding another $100 to my trip.

Oh and the 24 hour delay on deposits is fantastic, love getting my pay a day later than everyone else at my work.

Quick login doesn’t work

I have spent my past hour trying to do my quick login. Every time I did it it took me back to square one into a repetitive login cycle. Adding to that, I chatted to an employee online about it who could not help. He recommended me to file a complaint so I took my time to do so. I pressed file and got notified your system was unable to take online complaints? I have wasted all my time on you guys and for what? Your system didn’t work for me on both different attempts after numerous attempts as well. Do better. I need to access my account fast so I don’t need to memorise my other logins. It is a nightmare and need it done. Do better. As well as making my login inconsistent. Sometimes I get to login, other times you say my password is wrong? Yet it’s the same one I’ve been using every single attempt. Yet I punch in a different password by altering the number sequence and I get logged in?

Terrible Terrible Terrible

As perviously mentioned in all the other reviews posted over the last several years…there are log on issues. It takes 3-4 attempts to log in before it will finally accept your details. The function for quick logon also dosent work so u have to shut down the app and enter 3 credentials every attempt before it will let you in. Called BankSA and spoke to their internet support department who advised me that they were aware of the issues and to use a browser instead. The online banking via a browser has its own issues as well. Very underwhelming.

Oh and don’t bother sending an email to the development team either as per the comment below. You won’t get a response from them and u will just be waisting more of ur time.

A special kind of evil

This app causes more pain than most. It regularly displays pop up messages that are too big for the screen and can’t be scrolled and in some cases can’t get to the ok/cancel buttons. It also takes you to pages where the app gets locked on a form and all buttons do nothing but redisplay the same form.

I kill the app on a regular basis to fix these sorts of problems.

So many of the forms required entry of information that you would logically use another part of the app to look up but you can’t because you are in the form. It’s almost like they don’t expect their current customers to sign up for their services.

Balance, Available Balance

Would be nice if the account Balance and Available Balance were switch around so available balance was the first thing your eye was pulled to. Been caught out a couple times glancing at Balance, and not realising the available balance was $500, $1000 less and money needed to be shifted before direct debits could come out.

Overall, not a bad app tho.

Connection error on every sign in.

Has been a reasonably good app over the years, but in recent times every time I go to log in, it pops up with a connection error 2-3 times, then allows me to log in. I know it’s not my connection because it happens everywhere I go as well as when connected to wifi. If this could be resolved, it would be a great, reliable app.

Logon issues

As multiple customers have commented about login issues over the years, I am here for this too. No, I don’t want to send you an email - this is clearly a generic ongoing issue with the app that hasn’t been resolved for years. My relatives have the same issue where we have to provide our credentials over and over again, and this can happen for days at a time before the app allows us to logon successfully. If it can’t be fixed, at least explain why this occurs to your customers using the app. It’s certainly the apps biggest downfall.
