ELECTRONIC PRESCRIBING AND MEDICATION MANAGEMENT * Quantity unit of measure list. The quantity unit of measure list has been updated to align with NCDPD and Surescripts guidelines. When prescribing a medication or supply, you can now only use the following options: Applicator(s), Blister(s), Caplet(s), Capsule(s), Each, Film(s), Gram(s), Gum(s), Implant(s), Insert(s), Kit(s), Lancet(s), Lozenge(s), Milliliter(s), Packet(s), Pad(s), Patch(es), Pen Needle(s), Ring(s), Sponge(s), Stick(s), Strip(s), Suppository(ies), Swab(s), Tablet(s), Troche(s), Wafer(s), Unspecified * Prescription package information. Prescription package information is now available to simplify ordering medications that need to be prescribed in whole package quantities. For example, when prescribing the liquid antibiotic Amoxicillin, the quantity must be a full bottle. By selecting a pre-packaged size, uses can ensure the quantity is in a dispensable amount. Two new fields have been added to the Rx pad to allow users to choose the package option: Package and Package Quantity. Users can select a package and indicate a package quantity, and the Quantity and Unit of Measure fields are accurately completed. If the user changes the package quantity, the Quantity and Unit of Measure fields are updated accordingly. The package and package size are not part of the actual prescription and are not saved. * Narcotic Addiction DEA Number (NADEAN) user preference. Providers who prescribe medications containing buprenorphine for pain management purposes are not requred to obtain an additional license (NADEAN). A new user preference, I prescribe medications containing buprenorphine only for pain management purposes, is now available and can be selected in the web application. When this type of prescription is submitted, a NADEAN is not required and an indicator, Prescribed for Pain Management, is saved in the medication details. USER ROLES A new role, Lab Staff, has been created, which limits a user’s access to Lab Services Manager. If a user with only this role attempts to log into Quanum EHR, they will receive a message stating they do not have access to Quanum EHR and should log into Lab Services Manager.

Reviews of Quanum eLabs

  • Disgusting

As a doctor I have to say this App upgrades are worse than cancer! Each so called upgrade is a disgraceful act. It cuts from previous versions functionality. This last one I lost graph capability. That used to be a great tool for showing patients on iPhone how their health is doing. Now gone. The programmers’ paranoid fears have forced unnecessary upgrades for “ security” so bad that after few upgrades then you have to throw your phone away and get a new one. All absolutely nonsense. Already when you are on an iPhone platform even iPhone 6, research has shown you can not break in it by hacking even using old softwares. But fear and wanting to have a job has caused terrible care for patients and burden to doctors.

Somebody needs to stop these harmful behavior. Their cure by these upgrades is worse than the disease itself and has caused more harm.
  • Useless

I cannot log into Quest Quanum due to a prompt to download latest version. I deleted last app from my library, reloaded the same app from Apple App, where it says latest version 30d ago, and the message is unchanged. I have no access to my patients’ results…USELESS
  • Poorly organized

I have patients who have been getting labs drawn for years. They have multiple entries for most of them and those entries are not organized by date. I end up having to open 10 to 15 entries sometimes to find recent labs. The labs only trend if they are part of that entry, making the otherwise useful graph feature, not so useful. I love being able to pull up labs on my phone but for patients with frequent labs or those that have been long-established, it is a headache.
