Check in process still bad

Even though my passport info is saved...the app frustratingly asks me to put in my country of resident every single time. This is frustrating as passengers don’t move their country of residences that often!

But also, the prompt is very unclear when it is asking me for this! There is no highlight or note that says that this is the field that needs to be filled in. You just see many input fields for other passport info but no prompt to help you provide the info that’s missing. Terrible UX

Still needs to be improved

Though new version is a lot better than the previous one in terms of booking management page, there is still a long way to go to make it practical. The most struggling issue is that when I hit view profile, it always pops up that cannot complete my request, so does applying lounge pass to my trip. As a frequent flyer of Cathay, I still look forward to a new update where these bugs can be fixed.

Improve so much after version 6.9

The APP has become more responsive and quicker, no more endless waiting and crashes the problem of boarding pass force screen staying at maximum brightness has finally solved. Thumbs Up!

Doesn’t show my booking

This is the only airline app I have that refuses to show my booking. It seems to be a known error as it tells you to check via the website if it won’t load. Please fix!

No “Hold” option or 24 hr grace period for purchases

Every other airline - and online booking service - gives you time to change your purchased flight tickets at no cost. On the website, Cathay essentially gives you this flexibility bu allowing you to “hold” a fare for 24 or 48 hours. The app does neither. So you book, you pay and you are stuck with big change fees.

App doesn’t work

This app is constantly loading when opened— can’t seem to do anything on the app apart from getting stuck on the loading page. Please fix this.

Getting worse by each iteration

The app does not function properly. Cannot retrieve my updated profile. Cannot even check-in using alternative travel document. With that, the app is completely useless.

The latest version cannot even start on iPhoneX. An extremely bad app is getting even worse. That reflects on how bad the company is.

Cathay you're better than this...

Can't check in. Can't get mobile boarding passes. What's the point?

Take a screenshot of your flight info. That's basically the equivalent of having this app. Actually that would be more helpful because you won't have to rely on data to access it.

Cathay you're better than this. Invest a little money, and hire some competent app developers. This app experience reflects poorly on the quality of your business.

Gets a star for letting me see my membership points.

What the heck is going on ????

Just forced to update my Cathay App and now it just sits and spins forever ??? Why doesn’t Cathay management do something about this ?

Love the airline but guess I’m going to spend my thousands of dollars to fly on other airlines because I can’t be left stranded from access to the my airline due to bad quality control from an App developer... Disappointed !!!
