The app is the best choice for playlists and taking your music with you. What it doesn’t do is equalize or allow you to customize much.
Looking for alternatives that keep track of the music like this one with more features.froSTed1030
Can’t sign in
I appreciate the team creating such a great app with awesome potential. I still can’t sign with quick connect on network. I can connect only on my wifi. I thought initially it was problem with my network, but I can remotely access photos and other apps. I even changed our router but still can’t sign up. Please fix it. Thank you
Update: it started working today. Not sure what happened. Only other recommendation is make menu and icons more modern.

No longer work with Chromecast
I used to be able to stream via Chromecast Audio. This version cannot do that although on the screen it says it could. ****Update on Nov 1, 2021 The latest version 5.16.3 still hasn’t fixed the Chromecast issue.SHAWNYE
Great app for Synology NAS users BUT!
This app doesn’t do gapless playback when playing lossless flac/wav so it gets one star.
Gapless works with other Apps playing media from my Synology NAS so why not this. It’s been like this for the last 5 years when are Synology going to fix it?
Otherwise this is a very good App and integrates well with the Synology NAS and if gapless was fixed it I would use it in preference to others.Show lessmattiP7
Can’t find the folders anymore
Very bad. My songs are organized via folders. Was able to play very well. Since updated, what a mess. Please get the folders back!oceanwld
The CarPlay playlist cannot be loaded normally

Wanted this to work…
Wanted this to work, loved being able to put Audiobooks on my NAS, download them for offline use with the app for my drive to/from work.
I have given up.
1. Half the time, when i pause my book and the phone shuts off, the app has closed itself and I have to login again.
2. Every 10 or so logins, the app has lost my place in the book and starts over.
3. Offline downloads seem to disappear randomly. Have to delete app, reinstall to clear cache as I have no downloads and 2GB of storage being used.
4. When there is spotty cell service I have not been able to get into the app since it hangs logging in, fails, kicks me out. Works if I remember to use airplane mode.
Have moved to my Plex server with Prologue, much better for audiobooks. Will keep using DS Audio for music it works for that when I want it.Show lessiNSH
Getting better
Mini player bar in app allows you to brows while it plays and lots of playlist options. Still can improve but getting to be a decent music player. Maybe an option to remember fully last state it was in.Ranscapture
Spotify/Pandora work better
I love that I can stream exactly what content I want, even specific albums on my NAS. The problem with the app is that if you’re running it through Bluetooth on your phone, once you get out and back in the car, the app makes you reconnect and doesn’t remember previous status, even if you don’t close the app. Plus it doesn’t buffer all that efficiently, so if you run into a dead spot the app stops playing, then makes you log back in once you get the signal back. All this makes it way to inconvenient to use.Show lessmkb00000001
Update looks good
After seeing so many poor reviews of all the Synology DS apps, they now all seem functional and quite quick with DSM 7. The DRIVE app esp took some work to get up and running, prob because the NAS was indexing when I first updated. Big improvement over login probs etc under DSM 6.Lev Rev
