This “free” app allows you to post a job and book someone for a service but you have to upgrade to a premium subscription to be able to send messages, which is kind of a necessity when booking someone. I hired someone to dog-sit over a holiday weekend because no one was available on Rover and this seemed like a comparable service. Well, how do we proceed if we can’t communicate? So I bit the bullet. They did not respond to my communication over a 3 week period leading up to the date, presumably because they did not pay for the ability to message. It was getting to the cutoff period for me to pay a cancellation fee so I had no choice but to cancel days ahead of the scheduled service. Because of the timing, I didn’t have the ability to try to find anyone else and was forced to stay home with my dog while my wife and children traveled to visit family out of state without me. This is a horrible service and app, very misleading, and a complete waste of time and money. You fooled me once, and I will not be taking any more chances. If you use this app, please beware and know that you are taking a big risk!
