Leave a Review Wag! Pet Caregiver
Please allow numerical numbers, allow me to paste text into report card
I wanted to inform the owner of the number of treats I’d given his dog, died behavioral reinforcement but the app would not let me do this in the report card.
Please allow pasting text into the report card field. I have always used a detailed format for each client which i then highly personalize. The extra detail is for liability purposes, and the format ensures I don’t forget to include pertinent information for each wall. it now takes a ridiculously long time to have to retype that info for each walk. I have always kept my original documentation for each of my clients. It’s easier to edit, save and organize this format in Microsoft 365 and copy and paste the service report into the report card within the app. Keep in mind, being able to reacces my report card documentation within my own files becomes extremely helpful when preparing for handling a dog that’s a repeat booking, particularly when their owner requested some unique needs that required a slightly more tailored service routine. Please allow text to be copied and pasted so you can make my job easier, not harder and pet owners ultimately happier. Thanks.Show lessIt’s ok
Have issues with the app it’s not giving request and then it won’t give me any whenever I request them even though I have a great review and mini badges and verified. They’re trying to force you to pay an extra $130. I don’t know if that’s monthly or yearly, doesn’t say to be able to get better pay and more request and that’s not even guaranteed since they’re doing this to me now and I’ve already paid to be verified and everything. Though a contract worker, but they have rules and they take some of your money if you try to Instapay, your money to your bank. Also, they’re very horrible towards caregivers. I was attacked and they did nothing about that. Didn’t help me pay for the emergency room visit that I had to do that they told me to do. They didn’t even do anything to the dog that did it, they just hit him from me. That’s all they do and they won’t let you know about it even if it involves you because apparently privacy, but if you need extra money, try Rover or any other app let this be your last resort. I only still do it because I’m already verified and honestly, I don’t even really get anymore because it’s trying to get me to pay.Show lessOverall pretty good, just a couple things…
Overall it’s generally pretty easy to use and such. Having used Rover as well (which is probably their biggest competitor I’d guess), wag is definitely better for walkers. I would add a few things here and there though:
I wish there was a feature that somehow could show you the time it would take to get from one service to another. For example, I was at a drop-in in one city, and another walk popped up in a nearby city for right after my drop-in would be finished. I would have loved to request to do that one as well, but I couldn’t tell if I could make it in time, as the appointments had only a 10min gap and I didn’t know if the drive would be under 10mins for me to arrive on time.
Another helpful feature would be if we could send a sort of “counter-offer” for timing. A lot of pet parents submit services around the same times- morning, around lunchtime, or evening around dinner time. If we could send some request that tells them “hey I’d love to help you, but I already have a walk at night, would 9:30 be okay?” Etc.
I love the feature that allows for extension as well, but I do wish you could choose to toggle whether or not this notifies the parent. I’d love to check those extension boxes as an option, but I wouldn’t want it to be like “your walker wants to stay longer” lol I just want them to be able to go in and extend if they’d like to.Show less
