Scam
I am incredibly disappointed with my recent experience using Zipcar. After being a loyal customer for a while, I encountered a situation that left me feeling completely scammed and frustrated. I rented a car through Zipcar, followed all the rules, and returned it on time in perfect condition. However, when I checked my account, I noticed an unexpected charge for services I never used or authorized!
When I reached out to customer service to resolve the issue, I was met with nothing but unhelpful responses and a lack of accountability. The support team seemed uninterested in addressing my concerns and continuously passed me around from one representative to another without offering a solution. Not only did I not get my money back, but they also kept adding additional charges, citing vague and unclear reasons that made no sense.
Zipcar’s business model seems to rely on these hidden fees, and they have no intention of supporting their customers when issues arise. The lack of transparency and the refusal to take responsibility for overcharging makes me believe this is a scam disguised as a car-sharing service.
I advise anyone considering using Zipcar to think twice. The initial convenience is not worth the hassle, stress, and money you might lose in the long run. Save yourself the frustration and look for more reputable alternatives.
