Meh. Just meh
I have a love hate relationship with this app. It’s so weird how much I hate it and also love it at the same time. let me explain, so basically I’ve had this app for a few years. The reason to love it I guess is it helps you save money, time, stress of ordering , tip demanding employees, and more. You don’t have to go through the stress of ordering in person you can order online and customize your drink just the same as if you were to walk into the normal store, but the problem is it cost more to do a mobile order I don’t see why though. they make it just the same the only difference is you pick it up, and you don’t have to order it in person. But a nice thing about the online ordering is that you don’t have employees constantly, shoving tip screens in your face and you can pay the normal amount without having to pay a $10 tip too. The annoying thing is though you can have a lot of stars saved up and have enough for a few free drinks, but Starbucks doesn’t tell you when your Stars expire. They just expire. One day I had a lot of stars and was planning on getting a free drink, but when I opened the app, it turned out most of them had expired. Starbucks didn’t give me a warning or anything. this led to public humiliation. The pros and cons of this app are quite extreme. but Starbucks, you could improve.

This app is going to cause me to have a stroke
Within the last year I downloaded the Starbucks app hoping it would be a more convenient and accommodating way to place and pick up orders around my busy life schedule. The first account I made had my location in the wrong country and I was unable to fix it using tricks I found from others that had experienced the same problem. This problem persisted for months. Eventually I reached out to get customer service assistance, yet the problem remained unresolved. At this point I think it must be my account, so I proceed to make a new one.. unfortunately it has the same issue. Four accounts later and I finally make one that will allow me to access my local Starbucks, and just in time for their holiday drinks too! I was so excited! Progress.. or so I thought. Now this account will not allow me to log into the app and over the last several days it’s told me the password is invalid or incorrect although I know for certain that’s it is not. When I attempt to place orders it tells me there is an error. I cannot describe in worldly verbosity how frustrating this experience has been. I’m close to just abandoning all hope and resorting to drinking sewer water just to avoid the insufferable app and website issues I have been enduring for nearly a year. I see so many good reviews regarding this application, and to those enjoying their experience… just know I am incredibly envious.

I recently fall into a big scam from a trading platform called Interactive Brokers LLC trading, Unfortunately for me, I invested 55,000 USD worth of bitcoin with a fraudulent company. I was happy to watch my account grow to 260,000 USD within a couple of weeks. But i didn't realize i was dealing with a scam company, until i tried to make an attempt to withdraw. I made a withdrawal request, and noticed my account was suddenly blocked for no apparent reason. I tried contacting customer support, but all to no avail. App has seen better days
App is useful when it works but frequently across multiple states (California, Oregon, Washington, Utah, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, and Hawaii) I’ve had multiple problems with the app displaying sold out on things the store actually had in stock, I’ve recently been having issues with mobile reloading that seems to randomly decide if it’s going to work, they have been sneaking extra charges on things the stores don’t charge on effectively over charging people that order ahead and speed up business, my latest issue is the false advertising of star rewards (example the 25 star reward says customize drink with espresso shot non dairy creamer syrup and more) this credit is intended to allow you to get a shot for free previously a dollar, now a shot is 1.25 and the reward only deducts 1.00 due to lazy programming that benefits Starbucks, I’ve been using the app pretty much since launch and am very disappointed with what it’s become, the coffee keeps getting more expensive the quality has consistently declined and customer service has gone from “how can we make this right” to “why are you bothering me?”
Other coffee chains with consistent quality are expanding in my area and Starbucks is making it easy to walk away…

If you love Starbucks as much as me, READ THIS!
If you love Starbucks as much as me this is a great app!! Instead of having to go through a drive-thru or order at the counter it is much easier to place a mobile order. All you have to do is pick your Starbucks location and pick out your drink. Then place your order and wait for it to be ready! It’s a quicker way! Once whatever you ordered is ready you go into Starbucks and grab your item. Easy! It’s a lot to ask for but I feel that Starbucks should make more lemonade summer
drinks. I know they have so much refreshers with lemonade but I want SUMMER drinks with lemonade! I just ordered my summer berry lemonade refresher online and I have it right now. It’s so good! I wish there was more summer lemonade refreshers made for summer only. I love that they added raspberry pieces. I call them boba balls. They are such an amazing addition to the drinks! And I love how you can choose if you want any raspberry boba balls or if you don’t want any! I love the strawberry lemonade refresher but I don’t like the strawberry chunks and I’m able to take those out on the online Starbucks app. This app is amazing! Definitely get it if you love Starbucks and don’t feel like going through the drive thru and in store. ❤️❤️

If you have an issue, I suggest calling. I’ve spent way too much time trying to get someone to correct app issues. Sent numerous emails, with several screen shots etc., & they still don’t correct their app mistakes! Like I said waste of time. I love the star game thing, but there are so many problems that it makes it not fun to play. Star bonuses say they will be automatically loaded, & they aren’t. Most of the time my drink it not made the way I order it. By the time I wait to get the drink in the long lines, I’ve run out of time to have it corrected! The only place I’ve found very consistent is Safeway, & they never take part in the star bonuses etc. I never even get my 25 stars there for using my own cup, nor do I get the 10 cents off, but my drink is made correctly 8 out of 10 times. I just moved to Wa., the Starbucks capital of the world, & I’d rather have my old coffee shop that doesn’t offer stars, but a free drink after so many! The app works o k on a regular basis, but the games do not. The verbage in most of their promotions is vague, & ya gotta read between the lines, which is not o k. Things should be very clear, & concise. If something says free, it should be free. It should not cost me stars, & $. It should clearly state there is a charge, & I shouldn’t have to find it in the fine print after clicking 3 different spots to do so

I love Starbucks
I go to Starbucks all the time. I always have been into it. I used to go with my mom when I was younger and we would drink our drinks, she’d get coffee and I’d get a steamer, and we would draw or do something relaxing. The atmosphere at the Starbucks in my town is amazing. Everyone is SO friendly. They greet me when they see me and if I didn’t order on the app they ask if I want my usual. If I order a different drink on the app, they notice and say something when I go to pick it up.
The app is so convenient. I am a teacher now and I get Starbucks in the morning to keep myself awake earlier in the day. I don’t have to wait for it to get made as it’s usually done by the time I get there. I go in, say hello, get my drink, and leave. I also get stars. Stars are the rewards you collect and eventually with enough stars, you can get free things. I was told to get the app from one of the workers as they knew I was here all the time. Might as well get some rewards for it! Bottom line is, the app is a great way to get your morning routine done quicker and easier.

The Best Starbucks in the world
I have been drinking Starbucks every day 3 drinks a day for the past 8yrs now. I have visited quiet a few locations in town and out of state. I use to visit the Walter Reed location for 5yrs until the nee manager decided she didnnot want to make my drink the way i had always had it for the past 5yrs 3 maybe sometimes 4 a day. She stated it was not Starbucks standards and refused to not make my drink. After recording her doing so she said that made her uncomfortable and I was asked to revisit another store. Since then I relocated to Hope Mills, North Carolina, Main Street location. I have thoroughly enjoyed going there every day both the former GN and now the present GM have always been awesome. The staff is wonderful and I love going there every day when you spend $480 a month somewhere you expect to be treated nice.I didn’t get that same niceness at Walter reed location Fayetteville, North Carolina as I do now. So if you could please recognize the dedication and hard work that all the staff at Hope Mills, North Carolina Main Street location presents to their customers every day. Thank you.

Change the reload feature!
The app is decent and ordering ahead is always nice. I absolutely hate the fact that you have to reload your card and have a Starbucks balance on the app. The minimum reload amount is $10, so no matter what, you will spend $10 on your first order. Then everything after that uses the reloaded balance and you cannot deviate from it. If you choose to only do the $10 option, most drinks are more than $5. So if you want to order a second time, guess what? You're spending another $10. I know the simple solution would be the $20 or $25 option, but I DONT GET STARBUCKS THAT MUCH! In order maybe once a week and it feels so ridiculous that I have to spend $10 on a matcha, and always have roughly $4-$4.50 left of my balance. I completely understand that the money is still mine and going towards something I’m buying, it just really takes the convenience out of ordering ahead. I’d rather order at the counter so I can simply pay for the order itself instead of reloading the online card for more than my drinks value. It would be so so nice if I could simply pay for just my order and not worry about a balance. NO OTHER FAST FOOD/ DRINK APP IS LIKE THIS. Y’all are so money hungry for the people that don’t eventually spend the small bits on their account.
