Time wasting

Far too many screens questioning my reasons for making a payment

Money transfer

Need to move a large sum of money to Australia and we ‘re told the max we can send is 10,000£ daily. Not good enough when we have the funds available.

So simple

The nat west app does not get much easier than this. I especially love the debit card notifications and Face ID.

Poor customer service

I am absolutely outraged at the poor customer service I was trying to set up a bank account “first savers” supposedly (as said on the description) for 16 and under so I got my mum to sign me up for this account and it hasn’t gone through for about 2 weeks so we call to check up and they tell us it will be soon we call again after a month and a half of waiting and still no solution which is fine since I understand that it’s hard and it isn’t the workers fault but the third call after 3 months nearly four had me absolutely horrified we call this woman and she doesn’t answer our questions and is quite confused she tells us that we can’t set up the account for people under 16 which if that is even true then why did no one tell us and tells us to set it up in a different account we say to her “does this account let under 16 yr olds sign up” she takes a while and says no she doesn’t give us any solutions and whenever we ask any question wouldn’t answer it then it got to the point where she just gave up and said to us that it was the end of her shift and she had to go and that she’ll put us on to someone else but instead hung up and send us back to the waiting room. We waited 40 minutes on that call as well

Stable and consistent

Most useful feature is the way you can block a card temporarily in case you think you’ve just mislaid it or think it might be compromised

Online banking

I found the ability to use online banking easier and practical. Much improved and supported.

Mobile App

There was a fault with the mobile app that prevented me from transferring money from the UK to the USA, my usual 2 monthly transfer to pay my rent and other bills. Being a pensioner and having my pension paid into a Uk bank it is essential for the app to work correctly and not be faulty for 5 days over a bank holiday weekend, the web site , NatWest. Com was also down so no alternative existed. It has cost me $100 in international phone calls before the web site was fixed and I was able to transfer money.
