Having chosen Barclays for the features of it’s account, which I’m more than happy with, the app leaves a lot to be desired. A recent update sometimes shows each transaction with 2 figures below rather than inline, the balance after that transaction and the amount of the transaction underneath, all in the same size font with the historical balance the first number. Why is the most important information given less priority than the historical balance? The transaction is the important part, not the balance at that point. Change the font or better still, move it into transaction detail where it’s shown if the user clicks on the transaction. Sometimes this is displayed in-line with a much better look but there seems to be no obvious way that the app can be forced to change format (rotating display, force quitting and restarting, checking settings). There are all manner of issues with an associated Barclaycard. Statements don’t show up, documents are missing, the Spending section doesn’t work, the Avios feature doesn’t work (it links to the Avios rewards associated with the account not the credit card). Very much a pre-release Alpha testing feel to it.
