IT muppets
What was a useful app is now requiring SMS activation codes -but only if you live in a few countries. Otherwise their IT system can’t manage to send a text. Nor can you opt to have the code sent by email as other banks offer as. unlike Nat West, they appreciate people actually travel and may not have access to a UK phone at all times. Perhaps that’s why it’s supposed to be a “MOBILE” app?!. That’s apparently too much for their IT system to manage, even though the online system does it just fine. So I can do online banking via internet, but not use their app. Mind-bogglingly stupid.
This app is I ll-thought out, evolving backwards. Who tests these out? Nobody with any inkling of customer service, that’s for sure!

Great app - but one extra addition would make it FANTASTIC!
This is by far one of the best-designed, intuitive and useful iPhone banking apps that I've come across. It is easy to access, allows you to carry out all of the most important online banking functions, it is easy to navigate and use and it looks great!
The one feature that I have always wanted the app to include that none of the updates ever seem to add is the ability to search through your list of payees to go straight to the name of the person that you wish to pay rather than having to scroll through the entire list from A-Z one by one, as you currently have to do. If you have a long list of payees (as I do), this gets very tedious. This is especially cumbersome when you also have a few payees that you tend to transfer money to more than most others. Either an ability to jump to a letter of the alphabet, searching a name by typing or simply having a section for favourite/most used payees would do the trick.
Aside from this, great app and wholly recommended.

Great app, missing one or two simple things
Definitely the best of several banking apps I’ve used. The most functions (really easy transfer and payment system) and intuitive.
Why don’t you guys add a ‘total’ though?! As in, ‘this is the total amount of money you have in all your accounts’. Surely everyone wants that?!!

I have been waiting for four years to use this app, but only recently has it allowed me to use my non-uk mobile phone number .. at last!
Don’t bother
NatWest’s app is hopeless for anyone living overseas or not in the UK. Can’t get a single thing done, can’t log in, can’t find support. Outclassed completely by my other banking apps.
Love love love it
The new savings goal feature is very handy! It enables you to set an amount as a goal, for a certain date, and then calculates the payments need to reach that goal! Other than that, the app itself is very easy to use, with both basic, and advanced settings.

Now I’ve found my way round it, I think it’s great. Easy to do all banking procedures. Thanks!
Needs work
Great start! One thing that needs to be improved is the ability to cancel previous actions. As an example, when using Apple Pay and needing to verify with code. If you don’t have access to the code via a text message when travelling with a SIM card, would be great to cancel the request. Currently can’t do anything with the app until I verify the code. Should be able to cancel and go on using the App.

Great app, but needs dark mode
Needs a dark mode now more than ever since the latest update has made everything bright white.
App forgets who I am
Every time the app sends a message, it forgets who I am and I have to get a new code. It’s not a huge deal by a little annoying. Switched off notifications but it still happens. Glad to finally have it in USA iTunes though
