Very bad business practice.
I like many other people leaving reviews have paid for this app back when it first came out. When this app transitioned to subscription base it took away the stuff that I had paid for in the pro version and locked them behind the subscription. Okay the developer fixed that “issue” and now I still have a upgrade button on the upper right screen of my phone. If I hit it I get taken to a subscription screen with a free 7 day trial. It’s in hopes that you accidentally hit that button. People who purchased this app outright should not be seeing any of this. It shouldn’t have a upgrade button at all. The developer went years without touching the app and now it seem they’re trying to get me on their subscription plan.Show lessForcing me to buy subscription
I bought the tabata app for $1 or $2 a couple of years ago. It has worked well up until recently. Now they have hijacked my app asking me to join a subscription based service. I don’t need it. I just the tabata I bought from them.
However, every time I start the app for a workout I have to deny signing up for the extra service. It used to be i had to deny it 3-4 times before being allowed to use my app. Now it’s not letting me use it at all. These developers are crooks. Don’t buy this tabata. Bought your timer tests ago, now it won’t work unless I pay a subscription. Hope woof you like to get into your car one day and it doesn’t start unless you pay a subscription for the car you bought 8 years ago? Off you gas stated a subscription fee before I had bought it then ok, out if you want to charge a fee now do so only to new clientele, but honor your original date never you introduced the subscriptions c’mon!!Show lessDeveloper Response
