  • So far so good

I have been a “field agent” for a number of months now and so far have earned a little extra cash. It has taken a little while to earn $ as there’s not a lot of jobs in my town that come up so generally have had to wait till go to the city. All in all the app has been easy to use, accept jobs, submit and withdraw payments. When I have had issues/questions these have been resolved via email within a couple of days.

  • Scam outfit

They did the same to us. They claim we violated our agreement, saying I had multiple accounts and that their system flagged it. If that’s true they need a new system because we may be related but we had our own accounts. They still owe on jobs and cut me off when I was owed a bonus from their new Walmart bonus program. I think this place needs a class action lawsuit for not paying the measly amount they owe to people who completed jobs. I’m willing to bet they still turn in the completed job to the company that hired them to have it done. If they’re really questioning someone’s identity why not just ask for a photo Id to be uploaded when you apply? I am going to notify Walmart corporate (probably their largest account) that they aren’t paying the contractors for the work they do. They need to start losing contracts and income and maybe they will treat people the way they should and not screw people over.

  • Pointless

    UK review.

Had this app for over 2 weeks and not one job was listed on it. I had made sure my profile was completed and that the app was allowed to use my location but this didn’t solve the problem. This app has been deleted.
  • Has Potential but a lot of flaws too

So far I have earned about $100 in 6 weeks and jobs while they are there are generally easy to complete & well paid.
Money seems to take a long time to withdraw- I have been waiting 3 days now and it also takes along time for admin also to reply when you have a question- 24 hours to 4 days and some questions have not been responded too at all.
I often get regular notifications that certain jobs will be available all weekend when in reality they are only available for a few hours - which makes it hard to co-ordinate time.
They do say not to go out of your way for a job but let’s face it - everyone has to go out of there way to some degree to complete tasks & it is very annoying when a job that is supposed to be available disappears.
Sometimes only to reappear again once you get home.
Also the gps is occasionally inaccurate & some information is not correctly provided by Field Agent - they claim you will still be paid if you email them but this has not happened yet. If you supply slightly inaccurate information- or submit from a location different to the one supplied by them - even if it is in fact correct you will not be paid.
So definitely some potential to earn money but could be improved to make it more user friendly and faster admin support would be ideal

  • One of the best

Field Agent has the best design of all the secret shopping apps I’ve tried.

The app is easy to use and they continue to make improvements.

Unlike other secret shopping apps I’ve tried the work is pretty consistent.

It’s also interesting work— One gig did was to measure water pressure that involved all kinds of measurements and data collection. It was high paying too— $15 or $20 I think.

High paying gigs are few but the area I live everything is close so I don’t have to drive super far.

The key to make it cost effect is too coordinate errands with audits.

Before going shopping I check the app and if there on my way I take them. Some of the places are so close by I can even ride my bike.

When I visit larger cities I check for audits but usually they’re too far to be cost effective so I don’t do them.

I also don’t do audits that ask for a lot but pay little. If no one expects them the price goes up and take them then.

When I get an audit that I feel was worth more I tell them.

I would like to see certain factors taken into account like how much walking is involved, questions, pictures, etc.

They’re receptive to feedback and when they’ve messed up they’ve paid me for incorrectly rejected audits.

It’s a side hustle — not a full time job so be strategic and adjust your expectations a little.

When I first started I scoffed at $3 gigs. I learned that $3 here, $5 there adds up quickly-I make an average of $20-$50.

  • Great way to make some extra money

I just started with this app a couple weeks ago and have already made more than $40! Now, some of the jobs take a bit of time, but if you only accept the jobs for stores nearby or for stores that you shop at anyway why not get paid to take a few pictures or try a product? I was reimbursed for eggs and payed to try them as well. I buy eggs anyway, so this was a great deal! I also got reimbursed for $10 worth of groceries and payed an additional amount for doing the job. I bought more than the combined total in the end, but it was all stuff I needed to buy anyway, so carrying out this job was very worthwhile. I understand it would be frustrating to spend a lot of time on a job and not get paid a sufficient amount, but if you’re looking to pick up jobs for buying products you need to buy anyway, or that are located nearby then I think this is a very worthwhile app.

  • So stupid

Stopped using this app because there is no way to reset your password in order to receive your money without changing your email, which includes changing your email with the bank you use in order to receive the payments. Rude customer service to top it off
  • Great app

It’s a great app, jobs pay well. There isn’t many jobs but the ones that do appear have clear instructions and are straight forward.
  • I love field agent

I want to tell you how much I love finding a job on Field Agent. I guess I feel like a spy or secret shopper, which I suppose I am. I hate when I have to back out on a job like one I did last weekend in Lowe’s for the 5 gallon water bottles. I did as I was asked. This one was a none starter from the get go. The isle I needed to be down was closed off. I walked around and went back later still closed off . Went to find the full water bottles. They were right where 3 staff members were standing. Waited and went back. Still having a good talk. I did not want to blow my cover. So wrote why I was backing out on this one and went home disappointed. Apart from that I love doing this and getting free things to try out and earn myself a little pocket money too for my old age. Thanks for letting me be one of your agents. Sincerely Annie Thomas

  • Don’t Waste Your Time

Customer service (Jeff Douchette) is rude and they are very picky. If your answers aren’t what they are looking for (event if you follow instruction), they won’t pay you.
If you’re a business looking to use their service, I would be hesitant 🙃
