  • Doesn’t work for foreign travellers

    I travel to the NL a lot and need to buy tickets but this app is so random, sometimes a ticket will load but mostly it’s “opps, something went wrong”, at that point check your card statement to see you haven’t been charged. If you have, ticket may arrive in email some hours later, usually too late for travel. Really needs an overhaul.

  • Brilliant

    Spent three weeks holidaying in the Netherlands and this app was a godsend. The trip planner is easy to use, produces spot on results, and gives extra information that was so helpful for tourists like us (e.g. checking in and out between different rail providers). I wish the app for my local public transport was this good!

  • Seriously?

    So I go through 27 steps to buy 2 tickets on the website, only to be alerted after I’ve paid that I need to download a proprietary app to see my tickets (or print but who does that in 2019?). 113MB (!!) later I have the app. I then go through several more steps to load the tickets to the app. Once completed (3 tries later) I finally have the tickets on this app only to get the option to also add my tickets to my iPhone wallet! Ever consider just giving travellers the option to add to the wallet after payment? Apple makes this available free of charge. Don’t know or care about the rest of the app, might be fantastic but this particular feature, for tourists, is pretty bad. Yes, glad I don’t have to stand in line at schiphol when I arrive but 20 minutes to buy a ticket? Really NS?

  • Embarrassing design.

    Goodness try to avoid! Route planner riddled with travel options in the past and allows purchase of tickets that cannot be scanned at given stations. An embarrassment.
  • App seems completely non-functional

    Arrived in Netherlands. Data roaming on phone is working well. But all this app does is state “something went wrong when requesting trips”. No functionality available at all. Useless.
  • No Apple Pay

    Apple Pay not supported. Additionally the app indicated amex is accepted, however it is not. The payment screen does not display in English!
  • Can buy tickets but not supplements?!

    Ok so I was able to buy tickets with my foreign credit card which is great but I realised the tickets don’t include the supplements of €2.40 for the faster trains. And there is no way to buy one. If you get checked on the train it’s a €10 fee and the red machines on the platforms only work if you have a OV-chipkaart. Being a tourist I didn’t have one so had to stick with the slower trains, or line up at the ticket machines but then what’s the point of the app!

  • Rotterdam departures

    Since the last update, departures from Rotterdam Centraal are no longer available in the app
  • Good app, but needs Watch support

    Great app that looks and works perfectly. It only misses Apple Watch support, just like the NS International app.
  • Best way to travel in the Netherlands

    By far this is the best app I have ever tried for using public transportation in any country.
