Get ready to overcharged

I used app many times in past . It used to convenient. However lately depending on location you park rules always change. All of a sudden you can get overcharged. Don’t assume just because you prepaid your parking spot that’s the amount you are going to be paying .

Fake prices on app

In the app you input you car make and model. You pick a parking and it presents you “your prices” that you pay. When you show up thinking you have prepaid the garage then determines if the car is oversized or not and then they charge an additional $15 plus a “convenience fee” of $1.99. When questioned they said the system does not use the info you put in the app for make and model when presenting prices. So it’s a bait and switch app. Don’t bother using.

Terrible

I have a monthly garage spot. We used to have to text to make sure our cars are ready, but now we need to use this app. I sent in a request last night, but when I got to the garage, they didn’t have it. For some reason, it got closed a couple hours ago. Now I’m standing here with my dog, holding a car seat, and my wife is standing around with our baby waiting. when the app works, I can usually expect multiple notifications with the same info, for no obvious reason. I have another request for my car from weeks ago that still shows up in the list, and I can’t cancel it. In summary, I make mobile apps for a living, and this is about as bad as it gets.

Awful for Monthly customers

I miss the old texting system. It worked perfectly. And always efficient. This app is poorly designed and requesting your monthly vehicle requires multiple steps and screens. The app is often down and not available.
Bugs that annoy me are the constant “1” red circle alert but there are no messages or notifications visible or any way to clear it. Also, I have old vehicle requests from months ago that won’t clear from the request screen and I cannot delete them or edit them. They just sit there with “ready” or “approved” next to them. Really poorly designed app.

Doesn’t work when you need it most

The previous system of texting the garage worked perfectly. Forcing us to use this app instead seems like a very greedy attempt to get our attention by giving us an app that doesn’t function most of the time so that we can’t actually request our vehicles when we need them urgently. It’s a giant waste of time, and creates a lot of stress, not to mention lack of trust in this company.

Bad for monthly parkers

Icon wants monthly parkers to use this app to schedule their car pick-ups (they previously had a text system). But instead of a simple, user-friendly app for monthly parkers, we have to use this clunky app which is really for spot parkers

Monthly car requests are buried and require multiple clicks. Really a chore. Please give monthly users a proper, streamlined app!

Hassle for monthly clients, mystifying alerts

I am a monthly client of an Icon garage; the app requires many clicks to register a vehicle request. “Request monthly vehicle “ could be in the main menu, but no. On my phone the app constantly shows red “1” circles for messages?alerts? But there is no obvious way to see it or clear it. I much preferred the old system of texting.

Horrible for monthly customers

I used to text my garage when I’d want the car, and get a confirmation (and be able to see where it was scheduled). Now I’m told I have to use this app, spent 20 mins figuring out how to request my car (seriously - why is this feature nested so deeply??), eventually got a notification that it was successful…. But I still have “no current vehicle requests” and I don’t remember what time I requested so I don’t know if they know I’m coming. Or when. Absolute garbage.

It Is Good Until It Is Not

On the Fourth of July holiday, when public transit is at its worst, the app wouldn’t let me make a reservation. I tried with the holiday special and without. It showed a pending payment on my credit card, but it didn’t go through. When I tried to explain the issue while checking out, the parking attendant still wanted me to pay full price even though the night side guy said it would be no issue. We finally settled the issue and I paid using the some credit card I tried to on the app. I’ve been using the app for two years and I never experienced this before.

Not for Monthly Parkers

This app may work well for folks looking for short-term parking in NYC. I, however, am a monthly Parker with Icon - and this app makes my communication MUCH harder. I used to be able to simply text my garage with day/time I need my car. Done. Easy. Now I have to use this app to request my car. It’s 6 steps, once I open the app, to request my car. And the steps are not intuitive - so I usually make a mistake or 2. Icon must make a lot more money from their short-term customers than from us monthly customers. Otherwise why develop an app that makes our lives harder???
