Fairly happy user

For the most part I enjoy using every aspect of this app- paying bills, the debate card rebate, transferring, etc. my only issue is that if I schedule a bill they the app on my phone and later change my mind regarding the due date, I cannot simply go on the app and cancel that payment. I have to log in to the website from a computer to cancel any payments. I feel this needs to be corrected for those of us (like me) who do not have a home computer and need to wait until I get to work to log on and cancel a payment if need be.

Frustrating Experience

After photographing the front of the check, you now have a warning symbol that appears which states, “you must write “For mobile Deposit Only with TCU”. I had written that phrase under my endorsement. So what was wrong? The only possible error might be that your program couldn’t read my writing, so I wrote a second check and carefully printed the above phrase, scanned that checked and the warning appeared again. Frustrated!! Then I noticed that the program had moved to allow photographing the backside of the check, so I did that because there was nothing else to do. The check was accepted.
I make automatic deposits with two other banks. You might check the service that BB&T offers for automatic deposits. It’s simple, easy, fast, and their upgrades are designed for professionals.

Very poor user interface

I can’t speak to the security of this app, though I can only assume that it is indeed secure, which is why it has a 2nd Star. Unfortunately, the app is a terrible user experience. It’s slow, clunky, and doesn’t follow proper user interface conventions. For example, when sending a bill, the numbers in the keypad that show up are all light gray. This typically denotes that those buttons are not accessible. In this case, that’s just the way they are. Stylistically, it’s bland and dry. The text is small, as are the buttons. The app that existed before was a much smoother and enjoyable process. When this first came out, I was horrified at what they had chosen to do. It felt as if they stepped back 10 to 15 years. Again, I don’t doubt the security and the app functions (most of the time) but it is just a terrible experience. I use it because I *have* to.

Suggestion — travel date functionality

I like the app. There are times when it is down and I can’t retrieve my information, but it is up a vast majority of the time.

One suggestion… Please include the ability to notify the bank of travel dates in he app. I travel internationally and sometimes forget to call the bank before I leave. Please add a function in the app where I can type in travel dates and locations so I can add it even after I’ve left and if the bank is closed.

One of your competing credit unions provides this functionality in their app and I really appreciate having it.

Great but could be better

Love the app I use it a lot. One thing that would make it better and really frustrates me are the notification options. Capital one has a great notification process, anytime I swipe my card it immediately sends me an APP NOTIFICATION to my phone (not a confusing text message), that lets me know if my payment was approved or declined. If TCU can figure out a way for the APP to notify you when money has been removed or transferred from your count or balance updates, via a clear notification rather than a confusing text, this app would get 5 stars from me. Also not sure that the app is updated as quickly as my actual account.

Best of everyone I know

My fiancé banks at first source and they aren’t half as fast and efficient as this bank. Couldn’t have made a better choice on what bank to use in my life not only for its convenience but its speed and customer service is unbeatable. I’ve needed help twice in my years and years of banking here and both times I remember well receiving full support and immediate help solving the situations. 10/10 would recommend to a friend! Also I’m not a robot pure human being really dig this bank tho.

Cashing checks

Convenience is very important to me. Being able to deposit a check without going to the bank is The most wonderful thing. I have not gone to the bank to deposit a check since this was available. It saves enormous amount of time and gas for me and the bank clerk. I can balance my checkbook any time of the month I can see when the check has cleared. I love the mobile app.

Overall well done

The app is glitchy from time to time. One example is when I logged in once it showed that my account was overdrawn by almost $1,500, but upon calling the bank, found out that I wasn’t overdrafted at all. The app corrected itself later in the day. Sometimes the TouchID will stop working as well. Other than a few minor issues though, the app works surprisingly well. Transfers are super easy and looking at pending transactions is nice.

The app

Love the new app I love that I can transfer from one membership to another. Love that I can change my address and not have to call or go into a branch. Love that I can see pending transactions. Love that my mobile app looks just like my computer. Love that I can redeem my rebates on the mobile love that I can pay bills right there from my phone. Change is good people. Once you get used to its a piece of cake.

TCU iPad app

Been with TCU since 1967, the service has always been top drawer.
This app is one of those services which meet your needs; whenever, you're away from your computer.
It is my primary banking tool. I use the iOS version just 2/3 times a week. Nearly all my monthly bills are set for automatic payment.
Thanks for providing a very useful service.
