Reviews of Jimmy John’s Sandwiches

  • Already deleted App

I installed the app this morning and deleted it this afternoon. I ordered through the app for our local Jimmy John’s, (Kirksville, MO.)and selected the “as soon as possible “ time. Twenty plus minutes later, when I arrived and asked about the order, they said they would try to get to it in 15 minutes or so, after they had taken care of everyone in the restaurant. The manager wasn’t particularly pleasant about it either. Meanwhile, people who came in after me are getting their sandwiches. What’s the point of the app? Forty minutes to get a sandwich? That doesn’t meet the threshold for “freaky fast” in my opinion.
I ended up canceling the order because my family was planning to meet there for lunch. Schedules didn’t allow for an indefinite wait. We ate at McDonald’s. I would have far preferred Jimmy John’s, but after this experience it’s off our menu. Unless we’re in a different town, maybe. Anyway, I hope you have better luck than I did.
  • Poorly made sandwich because it is free

I received a free sandwich and boy was I excited.
I rushed out to my local restaurant and made the purchase. I had received a free sandwich before and went into the restaurant to get my sandwich, let me tell you it was not easy. The young lady was very rude and said she didn’t know anything about the app and refused to even look at it. She was very rude. I think I stayed in the restaurant for 30 minutes or more trying to redeem my sandwich. The manager finally came in and worked out the free sandwich. The free sandwich offered comes in my email, the manager said he had helped me with the before and was not going to do it again. I pulled up the offer in my email and let him see it, he was not impressed and let me know he remembered me and that free sandwiches didn’t come that often. And he was not going to do that again. Well I was able to get the phone number and fix the app again. So I received the sandwich but it was poorly made. I couldn’t find the meat that was supposed to be on the sandwich. If the restaurant has too give you a sandwich it will not be the same quality. I am not going back to the sharp language and poor customer service that I received just because I received a free sandwich.
  • So So

Over all it is a good app… biggest draw back is that it appears you can only use a gift card if you enter it at check out. But you can’t use the gift card unless the gift card covers your entire balance. Hard to believe that in 2023 Jimmy Johns lacks the ability to handle split payments or store gift cards. I tried to use a gift card twice over 5 years, you pretty much have to call in your order. Prices are too high to cover a standard gift card and staffing is low so dumb you have to call and order…disappointed that it has been years with out any change. I am giving away any future gift cards bout as useful as toilet paper. Also your favorites don’t tend to be usable at different locations. You have to enter you orders frequently instead of just adding to cart. I can look past the staffing as they are no longer freaky fast… but the programming makes no sense!
