Embedded Video playback is awful
Playing back a local video in DS File is awful. The player looks like the one in DS Video, but it’s audio handling is poor, and it keeps dimming the window when the controls are visible.
So instead of using DSFile as my single point of contact, I need to keep DS Video on hand, which means keeping all my videos in a shared folder as DS Video can’t read personal folders.

No support, or video over cellular
Been trying to get it to play videos over cellular with no luck. Support won’t even respond to tickets. Videos play fine over WiFi/local network, but not while on cellular. I have all necessary ports open and speed is good on cell, but it loads and shows the scene as I scrub through, but never plays.Show lessshareef777
Almost perfect
I like using this to read saved PDF documents. It works well except there is a glaring missing feature, there is no way to search the document. If you added search to the PDF viewer it would be perfect for me.Sorapp2

Been using his app for a while. Been very glitchy lately. It won’t upload and freezes while searching my camera roll for the photos to upload.chrisndawn96
Unable to access other than home Wi-fi
App works well on my iMac and several PCs on our home network, but away from home totally unable to log in to the NAS drive using file manager.
Audio works, but that of course is great only for audio.Sideways_ad
Photo backup glitch
Everything else works as expected. But I had to reboot my router a few days ago. The DiskStation’s IP address changed. I can log in to DS File using the new IP. But the old IP got stuck in Photo Backup. It cannot connect to the DiskStation and back up my photo. Please fix this!NordstormX

This app needs Files App support to stay relevant.
I end up using FileBrowser or Documents instead.

Doesn’t support MOV
I use macOS and iOS. Downloaded this app thinking it would allow me to view my files on the NAS. It can view most that I have, but found that it certainly doesn’t work with MOV. It would be nice to have 1 app to review all files on my NAS without converting, or changing from my native format on Mac. If this changes, I would rate this higher. I will keep checking to see if there are any other issues.
