This app just keeps getting worse
Unfortunately the CBC News app seems to be getting worse instead of better with each new upgrade. It never loads correctly or completely; if I view a caption for one photo in an article, I cannot view any others - the same one keeps showing up, if in fact there is any response at all. Midway through an article, there may be a reloading of the article which ends up truncating it. Entire sections simply don't load - for example, the "Canada" news section. It's ridiculous that a main online news source for an entire country is barely functional.Show lessbabster84
Not Compatible
The latest update states that it is not compatible with my iPad version...first time I've had that message. Have deleted CBC News and unfortunately it must remain that way as trying to reinstall from the cloud comes up with the same message....pity.Gerbies
Not compatible with iPhone 5
The latest update made the app no longer compatible with iPhone 5. Why? What's an alternative for iPhone 5 users? It was poor customer service to not notify iPhone 5 owners.Sups1
Frustratingly disappointing
Update notification inviting me to update, then states that app is incompatible. Time to delete!! And even AFTER deletion, the App Store update notification remains. Very very disappointing.watrob
Update doesn't work
I have had this app on my iPad for about a year, worked okay. Today I received an update notice. When I tried to update, it told me the app was not compatible with my device, despite the fact that I have had it for a year and was notified I needed to update it!!! I deleted the app and tried to reinstall, but it won't install, says it is incompatible with my device. Very poor.Show lessLeafmaple
Support Dropped Below iPhone 5s

Latest update not compatible with iPad 3 (Retina)
Strange, the late December update to CBC news insists that I install it. But when I do it tells me that it is not compatible with my iPad, a 3rd generation version. My iPad is updated to the latest iOS so I don't know what it's problem might be. The current version still works but I have to put up with the annoying reminder to update, that won't update.Show lessJBossart
Crash king of the apps
Cbc news has a very readable format, it's content mix is good, but after I reinstalled it this week, it crashes about every fifth time I touch a link to an article! My iPad did this maybe six months ago(?) with this app, then settled down with very few crashes/spinning wheels, & I uninstalled it a few weeks back along with other apps in a clean up. Took only two days for withdrawal symptoms, so reinstalled from the app store today, only to find it crashing & freezing as I go to stories. Please FIX THIS! It is unusable as it is.Show lessanndv
Notifications Not Working
I have used the CBC News app for several years and have always enjoyed it. I just upgraded to an iPhone 6 running 8.1.1, however, and have found that CBC notifications no longer work--not even after I restored the phone as a new phone. Indeed, the CBC app does not even appear in the notifications center of "Settings." Please address these problems in the next update.Show lessjuelmay
Terrible update
Since I upgraded to the latest iOS and the latest version of this app, I cannot use the app anymore.
Rather than having the top few stories on the home page of the sections you want (national, your area, etc) now they have just one and you have to dig into the menus to get a next region or type of news.
Having at a glance view of the top stories was good and now it is more of a hassle to get it.
That coupled with the fact that more than 75% of the images and text of the story links do not show up. I see maybe 4 or 5 letters (usually 2 letters on top and the rest under it) and nothing else. I have to open every link to know what the story is about. The links areas for the story summary a are nearly all blank.
Might as well use the website for all the good this app is.Show lesschristaor
