Annoying
Gets two stars simply because I can eventually request refill. Usually takes at least 15 minutes because the requirements for passwords are ridiculous and I can never remember what I set it up for last time. That means I have to set up a new password, which is a very frustrating process. If when the passwords don’t match I could just see what I typed and fix it, that would be a big help. BTW, none of the log on information is saved on your phone, so don’t count on anything filling in automatically. I wish they would go to just sending an email with an automatic log-in link.
Then there’s the list of prescriptions. Every time your doctor sends in a refill, it goes in the list just like a brand new prescription and the one it replaces never gets deleted, so I wind up wasting time trying to find the current scripts. There is no way to contact the app makers to ask questions either.
If I didn’t always seem to need to request refills on Sundays when the pharmacy is closed, I would ditch this entirely.

Outstanding Customer Service experience
I just started using a pharmacy in my area that uses RX local for their app. At first I couldn’t login to the account I created so I found a support number for Pioneer RX, the company that made this app. I was put in touch with Denise in their customer support department. She was outstanding. Over the course of a week we Emailed back and forth and talked on the phone to try and figure out why the app wasn’t working. She sent in a support ticket to the programmers of the app and they were able to get my account working. So far I love the app. I can see all of my prescriptions and which doctor prescribed them. I haven’t used this yet but I can also message my pharmacy. Huge shoutout to Denise. She was super helpful in getting me into my account. 5 stars!

Just call ur pharm
This app is nice for small pharms to stay current with out making an app for themselves. I was hesitant when I saw the reviews, to download, but if you read the majority of the 1stars, they are Karen-ing about “I can see my side effects for my dog’s medicine in the confirmation email” or something else really random. This isn’t in house, therefore it’s not gonna be anywhere close to Walmart Walgreens cvs apps. Obviously. You get the option to use an app to punch in ur refill. How hard is it to just call and use the same phone but with ur keypad on your ACTUAL PHARMACY automated phone system. Sheesh. Bunch of lazy and entitled app users on here.

You stink
I have tried a better way to contact you, but when I went to a place that should be there for help or complaints it just took me to your page on the app. That is no help so you’re getting my frustration in a Review. For over a month now I have not been able to use your app. I have deleted it reloaded it. I have had to pick a new password three times Maybe four and nothing helps all our information. Is there when I finally do get signed in but I’m getting no text messages from my Pharmacy and none from you guys and it’s just all very frustrating. My pharmacy is a private pharmacy not a big store one and I will let them know. I’m still having troubles with you guys. Any help? When you go to the App Store on my iPhone, there are two different apps with the same names. The newest one with the latest update and still can’t get signed in even though I created a new. Password. And I have searched and looked for a way to contact you but cannot find a way to message you or call you. I did just get a new iPhone 16 so that is why I was going to upload a new app because even iPhone 13, your app did not work I hope our pharmacy is not paying for you guys because not getting the service they should

Password instructions are wrong
I tried to find a place on their website to submit feedback, but since that’s not available I’ll leave it here. The instructions for creating a password are wrong. It listed all the criteria, and green checkmarks appeared next to them as I met them. I pressed submit, and a further requirement came up! You have to include a special character! The list says a non-letter character, so I used some numbers, but it also wants a non-letter AND non-number character, but doesn’t tell you that until AFTER you’ve typed your proposed password twice, and gotten all those nice checkmarks telling you you’ve succeeded. Creating passwords is always stressful—everyone’s got different requirements. But listing to requirements incorrectly just makes everything so much harder!
Update: now it has logged me out and is requiring me to change my password yet again. Get it fixed!

It could be a great app
When I first downloaded this app 8 months ago it was great. I could easily request refills for any family member (including our pets) and I especially liked having a summary of what was ready at the pharmacy so I could double check that when I was picking up. This summer that summary disappeared. I had to manually open each individual family member’s name to see if any of their prescriptions were ready for pickup. Between the people and the pets there are 5 to manually look through. In the past few weeks there was a notice that all users must change their password. Okay. I did. Got in and used it as usual. The next time - all users must changed their password. I did again. Used the app. Then next time and every time following - every user must change their password. I’ve changed it 4 times and still getting that message. I gave up on it. Thankfully my pharmacy has a texting number so I can just text them when I need a refill. This app is useless!

Really? This app no longer works
They keep fixing the app. I mean they keep breaking the app. The developer must have been smoking crack. Now you can’t even log in. Keeps saying can’t download account information and ask if you want to retry or log out. They need to stop doing drugs when developing apps. I can’t even find out my prescription information anymore. I have no idea when I have medications anymore until they call me to tell me I have prescriptions that have been ready for a week now. I let them know the app changed so much and I no longer have access to it anymore. They need to start calling me to let me know.
Stop smoking crack.
Roll back your app a few updates until you get a new developer who isn’t on drugs. And test the app prior to releasing updates. Don’t push updates with a broken app. Quit hiring liberals.

Login process horrible
I have to agree with all the other reviewers who say the login process is awful. I use apps to store long, complex passwords unique to every app and website. This app doesn’t let me paste in my password from there, nor does it give me the option to pull from there like every other app I use. It forces you to reset the first time after update and didn’t work. I went online to my pharmacy website and reset it there but half the features don’t work on web. Seriously programmers, do some ux/ui testing before making such a big flow update. This was not thought through. I also agree it’s difficult to find medicines and to determine which are ready to have a refill requested. Either do it right or don’t do it.

Constantly asking for password update
9 Sept 2024: App has been working fine until the last week, where when signing in, it pops up a browser view that says Redsail App instead of RxLocal App and the last couple of days, it’s been saying “All users are required to update their password”. I’ve updated my password 3 times now in trying to order pharmacy refills & message my pharmacist.
I tried to get App Support & it again takes me to a browser view and I can’t find ANYWHERE to get App Support at all! Can’t even ask for help. My pharmacist is getting a lot of customers to deal with too, so he can’t look into it yet until the last of the week, so I’m not the only one. Deleting & reinstalling and turning my phone off & then on hasn’t helped, either. It STILL asks me to update my password.
Apple should have a Report Bad App button or something; especially when it has to handle such important things like prescriptions.

Thought this app was bad enough
But now I can't even open it without it immediately crashing. I actually dare the developers to make a worse product than this (read: they can't even if they tried). To the Powers That Be, try for once devoting more resources to your mobile app -- even if it's not the thing that immediately makes you the most money -- because patient experience is absolutely pivotal to getting people to continue to use the pharmacies that operate on PioneerRx and the RedSail suite. Once patients get sick of the user experience, you run the risk of losing them to faceless corporations like Walgreens and CVS. If everything you touch is this bad (including Pioneer), y'all have even more work to do than you're willing to admit. Fix it or just stop issuing updates.
