Ping Golf App
This is a horrible app.
It is hard to believe Ping allows their name to be associated with this product.
I purchased about a year ago and it was unstable and needed to be reinstalled all the time. Now it will not work at all.
Look elsewhere if you want a golf app.Sandwichhole6
I love this app, But...
!This has the potential to be a great app. It’s all I use to track my score and is very accurate when comparing to expensive range finders. The bad right now is it won’t save my game and finish. Every time I look to see the time after a game, there’s the app. I have to reboot my watch to get it to go away. Please! Please! Please Ping, find someone who can finish this app and get rid of the bugs!!!

Is this app supported anymore? Crashed and can not get to work anymore. After selecting “Play Golf”, it just sits at “Getting your location...” When it works, it’s the best app. Also when playing the 9 hole course it freaks out and then the second nine gives me a huge amount to the next hole.

Still not working. Still says getting your location... Ping suggested that I turn on my location for the app. When I go to location services on my 7Plus, the Ping app doesn’t even show up. When I open the Ping app tab in my settings, it gives me the option to allow the app to use cellular data. This is turned on. I tried turning it off and still didn’t work. I’ve uninstalled the app multiple times and reinstalled. I’ve reset my watch and phone multiple times. I’ve made sure both my watch, my phone and the app are all up to date. There are no settings inside of the Ping app itself that I can find. I emailed Ping. No response. I called Ping and left a message. No response. Any ideas?
I would’ve expected this app to be stellar, considering Ping put their name on it and Apple backed it. I have a series 3 LTE watch and just purchased the app last week. I’ve played golf 4 times since, and have yet to be able to use the app during the round. When I click “Play Golf” is just says searching forever. Never finds a course or anything. Then it gives you the option to enter manually..... Which is free... So why did I purchase this, Ping? I would greatly appreciate some sort of explanation or a refund.

Something seriously wrong with this app
Month 2 of my premium subscription and of the last 6 rounds I've played only 1 came up on the gps, apple watch just sits in limbo, after further testing I discovered that the link between the phone and Watch needed to be reset. Viola it worked again, Still somewhat grumpy as I downloaded this app to allow me to shut off the Bluetooth and phone gps, not quite as promised but overall decent performance.Show less1256 phil
Eats battery on your watch
I am a regular golfer and a ping user. I thought this would be a useful app for practice and playing. I have a laser distance finder and the gps app was about 10% out. That is similar for other gps apps. The big problem is the battery drain. I got to the 11th hole at got a 10% left warning. And I was not using the app on every hole. So that's not very useful Ping - and needs sorted- there are 18 holes in a game!
Secondly used it for practice swings- a bit more useful there, but doesn't register all shots. Needs a bit of improvement - not sure it's worth the money at present.Show lessscotdownunder

Regarding battery, please ensure you have the absolute latest version of watchOS and the PING App. Battery use has been dramatically improved in the last year. In our testing, we are certainly able to complete full rounds of golf using all of the features of the app. With Watch series 2 we expect to use about 60% of the battery for a 4hr round. Seems like a great app, if only there was a "Day Pass". A little pricey for someone who plays a handful of times a yearJonthepom

Thank you for the suggestion of adding a "Day Pass". We'll take that into consideration. We recently added a 3-day free trial to our subscriptions, but realize that is only a one-time offer.Pathetic
