Failed when needed the most
Went to use the app for a function on my car, was in a rush, the app had logged me out. I used my Apple keychain to log in, strangely didn’t work. So manually entered the password, no luck. I then reset my password using the password I usually use “this password has been used before”, which is frustrating as I have only ever used one password before so why did it not work before?! I reset my password and went to log in and the app said it was locked and to try again in 5 minutes. Not user friendly at all. The app features are great but if they don’t work when you need them, what’s the point…

Won’t accept valid VIN. Offers no other way to sign on. Utterly useless.

Pretty Much Useless
This app is a joke. Our Mazda CX-5 does not have remote start from the key fob, but the salesperson said it would be fine because we’d get remote start from the app. However, we have two people using the car, and you can only have one account for the app. Every time one of us logs in, it logs the other person out. And, no matter how many times I set up Face ID, each time it logs me out, it forgets I want Face ID on, so it takes an annoying amount of time to log in every single time I want to remote start the car. Then, the remote start itself is spotty, and when it does work, it takes a full minute to turn on, all of which costs time. The app doesn’t even allow you to control any heat or air settings, so it’s pretty unclear to me what the point of any of it is. The app claims to have a status update on my car, but even when I manually refresh it, it’s usually as of at least 4 hours in the past. So when I do use the app to, for instance, make sure I locked the doors, there’s no feedback to make it clear that the command went through, and I sure can’t check the status of the car for that. In conclusion, it’s junk. I am made stupider each time I try to use it. I award it no points.

Expensive for limited functions that other companies offer for free
For $10 a month to have command start, wish I could turn on my heated seats as well. Expensive for what it is but otherwise easy to use app
Can’t connect
The app works when it wants too. Most of the time can’t connect to the network. I tried offloading and reinstalling but same message. When it works it can be a good app but for now I will stop using it.
Mazda App
This app is awesome and I have only had it a few days ! You can start your car and it replies back once confirmed ! No worries about not knowing if it started. Also, it shows other stats like gas mileage and tire pressure etc. loving it so far !
Not reliable
For a paid service, the reliability is below average. Suddenly the app can’t connect to network for the past 3 days.
Remote start
I don’t like that I have to pay do or the app now. Had it free for 2 years and now I have to subscribe. I might be tempted to buy it if it worked with Alexa or google but it doesn’t. How cool would in be it I could just say “Alexa. Start my car” hopefully Mazda will read this. Wink wink.
Horrible
Some days it’s fine, many other days I just can’t log in. The app is easy to use and all but I certainly won’t pay for it when my trial is up because why would I pay for something so bad? I should not have to subcsribe to anything to remote start my car anyway.
