  • Not great for BMW X7

    Very limited options for BMW X7. I’ve sent numerous requests to have coding features added and nothing has been update for 2 years. Seems pretty expensive yearly licence for little features. No windscreen sensitivity adjustment, no driving mode set on start, no audio control etc.

  • DO NOT BUY PRODUCT

    Got this product thinking it would be a good tool to have in my car like most people would boy was I wrong, it’s telling me I have brake issues even though I have no lights on my dash and new disks and pads fitted, it’s also tell me I have some type of dynamic suspension on my car, just for the record my car is 18 years old and is a bottom of the range diesel, dynamic suspension is fitted on high end sports cars like Lamborghinis etc, so I emailed the customer services explaining how unhappy I was with there product and would like a full refund to which I was offered only 20% of my money back then was told no refund would be given, I told them to send me an address to sent there garbage back to them which they haven’t and to cancelled my subscription and closed my PayPal account as there customer services is full of cowboys who don’t care about there customers, all there interested in is just your money.
    BEST ADVICE I CAN GIVE IS STAY AWAY FROM THIS CHEAP PRODUCT AND GO ELSEWHERE.

  • Slow and Poor customer service

    Product and features are strong. Think subscription and pricing are confusing and deceptive. Should offer lifetime license.

    Very slow and poor customer service.

    Told in December 2022 that BMW full license had been renewed until November 2023. App worked fine beginning of January, then next time opened and did car scan showed full license as locked. Now been simply trying to get customer service to unlock my full license subscription for several days. This shouldn't be this much trouble!

    This is an awesome app to begin with.. Rouben has helped me a lot with this app in understanding something when I get stuck. They are all awesome people at Carly.
    For me I have used a few diagnostic tools to scan cars but this one has a mechanics view of the situation going on with your car and helps you on what steps to take at looking for problems going on. This to me is very helpful.
    My opinion is you can not go wrong with Carly…buy this it is well worth your investment. Awesome people awesome product…

  • Awesome so far!

    Put in a request to figure out where my package went or if it was lost, within the hour I received a response the Team (David) more then willing to figure out what was wrong and how it could be solved. It was all my mistake obviously but Im glad that their costumer service will go above and beyond to help out their costumers. Id recommend this product for anyone that wants a great product and a amazing costumer support team!

  • Great customer service

    Have had a great experience so far with Carly.
    I have an older model car which needed an adapter to use Carly.
    The service team sent me a link confirming what adapter I would need and were very prompt in their reply.
    Can’t wait to use it.
  • Excellent Customer Service

    Well, let’s just put aside the product itself for a second. There’s always going to be hits and misses with a platform such as Carly; not everyone drives BMWs or late model cars and therefore everyone will get different results when trying to tune and program their vehicles.

    My scanner went kaputz today, email the Customer Service and IMMEDIATELY got an response from “Rouben” ~ don’t know where the extra O came from so he must be from UK…

    Anyway, he’s saying he’s sending another one to me at no charge and I’ll just have to wait to see how long before the new scanner arrives.

    I would like to also mention that it’s been very fun messing with my G31 5 series and MK3 TTS as I didn’t know you could change the light intensity on these LEDs. Other than the defective scanner; 5 Stars for Carly and my friend ROUBEN….!!!!

  • Overall dissatisfied for the price

    Paid $30 or so for the dongle, and roughly $118 for all brand support, which is an annual charge. I am finding that the models in the app that are supported are severely lacking - in fact I find myself running more into what is not covered by the app than what is - Saab 9-7x not covered. Camaro? They have 2003 to 2009 - there’s no such thing as an 03 to 09 camaro. No support for a 98-02 camaro, zero Pontiac firebird or GTO support. Mustangs are covered back to 2000 despite a 1999 and 2000 mustang being the same thing.

    GM trucks are also a mess - Tried to scan a 05 suburban - can scan a suburban only as old as 07, but tahoes are covered until 06 and Yukons are covered until 04? Makes no sense.

    I give the app two stars because I am pretty happy with how well the app does when I DO run into a car that is compatible with it - I can access a lot of features to each vehicle. However, I bought this to take in my pocket when I go look for cars to buy and this things lack of brand support makes me better off bringing a big clunky scanner that will pull CEL codes on any car.

    In short - unless some big changes come to this app I will not be renewing my subscription. Not remotely worth $118+ a year for limited cars supported.

  • Mislead by the app

    I need to reset the transmission adaptations on my MINI. I downloaded the app and used an OBD adapter I had. A message popped up that it was able to do the job, but I had to order their OBD adapter, so I did. It arrived almost two weeks later due to international shipping, only to use it and have the app tell me that function is not supported. I email support which pretty much told me we’re sorry to hear that, here’s how you can return it, but they don’t refund return shipping. So I’ve wasted two weeks with my car stuck in the driveway when, had the app told me the truth from the start, I could have bought something else then. The email also included the unprofessional touch of smiley emojis.

  • Works a treat - just one function missing

    I have a BMW 520d F11 and have used this for coding to eliminate the annoying stop start and some other functions.
    It not only reads fault codes and indicates if they are trivial or how urgent they need to be rectified. If a fault is detected, the Smart Mechanic feature also gives guidance/hints on how to fix the fault - this feature is great and I used it to diagnose an air conditioning fault.
    The only feature that I would like and is missing, is I have done my own oil change and break changes, but the service history is stored in the car and there is no way to update this.
    Otherwise it would be 5 star.
