  • It’s Gone Downhill

I’ve used this app for a very long time. It used to be great. Simple. Streamlined. Intuitive. Then all the updates happened. Now when I add tasks it automatically is scheduling it? I have to shut OFF the time scheduler every. Single. Time. I. Enter. A. New. Task. Also, I keep two lists—school and home. Now when I click on the “School” list and am looking at only that on the screen, at the top it says “SCHOO” and then underneath that is “L.” Really? You can’t figure out how to fit that L up there? That’s worrisome. It’s no longer intuitively easy to get back to my main page where I can see all my various lists, either. I don’t know if it’s a new team coding the updates or what but it gets worse with every new iteration. I used to LOVE this app!!! But now I’m tolerating it until I can find something that’s as good as this app used to be. I thank you for the years that I have loved this app, though, before the updates.

We're sorry you feel this way! Any.do still offers a home screen with all lists that can be accessed via the Home button on the lower left corner of your task views :) The Smart Type is a natural input feature which our users love and can be easily disabled by simply tapping the added blue date :) Lastly, we are not aware of any display issues but our Support Team will be more than happy to look into that for you should you reach out via https://www.any.do/contact_form
  • Cancelling subscription and deleting app

This app has gone downhill in recent months which is disappointing because it had previously been very useful. Lately dates/times for a number of tasks and appointments have inexplicably changed which is completely unacceptable, this has made the app unreliable and unusable going forward. Also, the recent updates have made the UI less intuitive and the calendar freezes almost every time I try to scroll to the next month. Don’t waste your time and money, look elsewhere for a more reliable app.

  • Stage manager and swipe keyboard need fixing on iPad

I love this app, crossing things off is why I like it. I also love the new stage manager feature, which when using this app becomes less constant, sometimes the done button doesn’t actually add your reminder until fully residing the app. And when using the iPhone sized swipe keyboard on the iPad it’s exactly the same small things and then this app is perfect.

  • Any do is going downhill

When I first downloaded Any do about a year ago it was great! I loved having a calendar and to do list in the same app. However, in the past few months the continual updates have made Any do lose its functionality and become harder to use. I don’t like having to click so many times to switch between calendar and to do lists! And there are so many new features which just aren’t helpful and clutter the interface. And the bugs are terrible! At least half the time when I open Any do I have to force close the app and reopen because the calendar keeps loading as 2022 instead of 2023. Sometimes the calendar loads as 2012 or another random past year! Now my Any do widget on my Home Screen isn’t loading! Unfortunately I think it may be time to delete Any do as it’s become an app that hinders my day rather than helps me organise my life.

It sounds like there might be a local issue syncing the app. Kindly submit a bug report via https://www.any.do/contact_form and our Support Team will be more than happy to look into that for you! We also welcome any feedback regarding the latest updates, which we will gladly forward to our Product Team for review :)
  • Used to be great

I used Anydo in the past and decided to come back - unfortunately I was immediately bombarded with pro pricing offers, warnings that i’d ‘miss out’, and other push notifications about utter rubbish - all within hours of downloading the app.

All I need are the great reminder functions it used to have, not five or six additional hassles in my already busy day.

Also, give me even a day or teo to try and use Anydo before you hassle me about reviews and upgrades - how could I possibly know whether it’s useful, let alone if i’ll pay a huge monthly fee, until it’s even had a chance to remind me of something?!

We're sorry you feel this way! The Premium screens can be easily X'd out and only show upon logging in or when trying to use a Premium feature :) Other notifications can be managed from the app's settings and you can learn how to disable them right here: https://support.any.do/notifications-settings/. That said, we do appreciate the feedback regarding your experience and we will be sure to pass it on to our Product Team!
  • Best app I have found

I have brain damage from a stroke and organizing is hard for me, but this makes life work for me. Both my husband and I use it. Adding recipes is easy, meal plan super easy to change and move around, Lots of lists of things need done, shopping lists for grocery, big box drug store, errands to run..,,took me awhile to remember shopping list is Alexa list and grocery list has Elena put it in any lust….but that is so helpful……I don’t have to stop what I am doing or wash my hands. Our favorite list of all time! Would like to print out our meal plans for a month….haven’t figured out if it will do that.

  • Doesn’t really flow.

I downloaded this app for one reason only. It works with Alexa. Ok, I said, ill give it a try, so I got it and signed up for a month of premium ($5.99) The rest of my morning was spent trying to figure the app out. After the first three crashes, it smoothed out. The UI is simple, white back ground- no Dark Mode. You have the ability to change the font color. The screen that allows you to show all of your calendar and to dos is a scrolling clunky mess. You can get this view from any app on the market. On the To Do side, adding them is simple- not by keyboard shortcuts, unfortunately (like CMD-N) Adding repeating events is very clumsy (this feature is only available with premium) The repeat automatically defaults to the present time with no way to edit this and you cannot go into a task and edit it to repeat- this has to be done during the initial task set up. On the to do page, it gets worse. In one view (on iPad) on the left is a list of My Lists- which cannot be edited- cannot remove a list..I turned off Apple Reminders, yet there is still a box there, unused, that I can’t get rid of. There is another tab for Tags, which are color coded. Nice, but when you add a tag to a To-Do, you only get the color- not the label for the tag in the To Do view. So, this is about as far as I got with this app. I’m not happy with all of the little “quirks” and weirdness of it. Deleted it.

We're sorry you feel this way! Be advised that Any.do does offer a dark theme which syncs directly with your device's settings and can be changed from under the 'dynamic theme' option in your account's settings. We also offer unique keyboard shortcuts which are details on our Help Center and in the desktop apps as well (https://support.any.do/keyboard-shortcuts/). Recurring events are part of the free plan and only advanced recurrence options are part of the Premium plan as details here https://support.any.do/recurring-reminders/. Any type of reminder (https://support.any.do/reminders/) can also be added and edited after the initial set up of your tasks and in any point in time :) Lists can be removed per the instructions on our Help Center (https://support.any.do/lists/) and you can see the Tags titles when you choose to filter accordingly (https://support.any.do/sorting-and-filtering/). Though we're not aware of any issue with the Calendar view but our Support Team will gladly look into that and any other issue should you contact them via https://www.any.do/contact_form.
  • Great App

It is a great app, no question about it. It is also backed up with first rate support I would say probably the best I’ve had to deal with via the App Store. Why 3 stars - purely because I need a desktop app to work as well, I work in areas where I cannot take a mobile device and the lack of desktop functionality kills it for me, and that’s the only reason based upon my usage patterns. I’d thoroughly recommend anyone who is mobile centric to try it but just doesn’t yet work for me, I will keep an eye out for updates.

Updates to say the apps are available but desktop apps only support a single google account in read only mode which as I don’t use google makes it useless.

Thanks for the feedback! Any.do is available for Windows, Mac, Chrome and Web :) You may find all options, right here: https://support.any.do/platforms-devices/. For assistance, feel free to reach out to our team at https://www.any.do/contact_form. As to the Calendar, it can sync multiple calendar accounts via your main Google calendar. We will be adding support for more calendar clients in the future and will be sure to announce it once this option is available :)
  • Limited for free

I currently use a paper planner for everything and would love to switch to digital. However, every time I’ve tried to integrate my planning into an app, they are missing things that I can do with my planner. For instance, having tasks and a calendar view on one page with color coding for me to easily separate school work, work, kids, and home. This app can do all of this for me, without the weekly calendar view that I like but I cannot try the color coding feature without a monthly subscription. If the app was a one-time purchase, I would buy to try it out, but with the monthly subscription I feel it is not worth the money and I should just try to use Google calendar and wait for the features they may add.

  • Easy to create shared tasks but problems inviting

Using this app to help me get support from friends and family.
    Love the calendar integration.
Would love to share a calendar as well within the app so that someone can help assist with carer duties by taking someone to an appointment.
Tasks can easily be created, but when you share them, it’s not easy to see who you’ve shared it with. I have a list with over 20 invitees and you can’t scroll down the list to assign the task to someone as they cannot be found.
And when adding someone to the list after the list has been shared, you need to resend invites to everyone again? There’s no function to just invite new people to a list. Those already invited and joined get another email and are duplicated on the list!
    Please fix this bug!

    Developer Response

Thank you for the feedback! Please note that there is no need to re-add previous invitees, as you can simply add new ones as instructed on our Help Center: https://support.any.do/sharing-lists/. The option to add invitees exists both via our Smart Type (https://support.any.do/smart-type/) when adding new tasks or via the Task Menu (https://support.any.do/collaborating-on-shared-items/). As to sharing calendars, you may find instructions for that as well, right here: https://support.any.do/sharing-calendars/ :) If you're still experiencing any issues, please reach out to our team via https://www.any.do/contact_form for support!
