Update are way too frequent

Every single time I try to open the app, it requires an update. This is especially frustrating when traveling and realizing you cannot open the app to check on basic things like your balance.

App Keeps Crashing

Not sure what is going on. App works good straight after downloading. Than a message pops up saying “ Hi (your name) Welcome to EE
Let's get your device set up to work with our app.
To do this we'll need your permission to access some features on your device. You press next, and a spinning wheel appears and it has been on for 1 hour, and you have no access to broadband or mobile accounts. Only way to view it is to delete and reinstall the app, and soon that dreaded message appears again. Also the apps seems to forget that you have already linked your broadband router to the app previously, so you have to set that up again. These issues have only recently started after changing my broadband from BT to EE, previously the app worked perfectly to view my mobile accounts. And you cannot do everything on the web account for your broadband, you really need the app to work. Please help, the EE guides keep saying they pass the message on to relevant department. Not happy at all, had no issues with BT app for many years to manage my household internet.

Thank you for the feedback as it really helps us to improve. We can get this checked out. I would recommend giving our team a call here https://ee.co.uk/help/contact-ee, and we can look into this.

WiFi Controls no longer work

Awful App. Moved from BT to EE in Nov. No app access to our broadband plan or WiFi Controls until Feb. No billing for months despite us calling to let EE know - then whacked with £190 bill. All worked great until an App update in June. EE customer service unable to help. No access to Hub Manager to control it from there either. Kids devices stuck with WiFi controls on. Have no way of taking them off or adjusting them. EE engineer tried our current hub, a new hub of the same version, and the latest EE hub - none of them would pair to the App in order for us to be able to control the WiFi. Have reset hub, uninstalled and reinstalled the app. Literally nothing resolves this problem. EE customer services tell us WiFi controls aren’t included in our package when our EE account accessed on laptop clearly states it does. We expect like-for-like BT WiFi controls as promised by EE and are massively let down by the whole experience. How can you resolve this please!!??!

- Updated 26 Sept in response to EE’s reply: We have raised it. Many times. We have been told it can’t be fixed and that you will let us leave our contract early and go elsewhere. Ridiculous! If the App worked we would stay

We do understand wanting the same features you had previously especially if you are using these daily. I would recommend speaking with our team so we can raise this correctly, and further if needed and check out any options on this.

Billion dollar company embarrassing

Joined EE only wanted it for data so can use maps when driving instead of keep using my hotspot on my other phone as I drive to remote places so thought I’ll get one on a different network.

Signed up for 20gb for £10pcm never got the 20gb they gave me 8gb I called up they said it must have been an error on the website and sent to my email the guy on the call said if your not happy just cancel it (true) he said the extra 12gb was for 3m from when I got the SIM card he looked in to it and said you’ve not been given any extra I said that’s why I’m calling he said because your on your last mobile he cannot honour the previous data.

Downloaded the app so can see how much data I have left struggled to link the phone to the account as the link device wasn’t showing up when I first downloaded it, now I’ve liked it still nothing showing up these company which take your money and laugh at us for being stupid I’m glad this is only a 30 day thing couldn’t imagine being tied in to 24m with these empty heads 🤣

Hi Joe. We’re continually updating and improving the EE app based on your feedback. Our app is refreshed regularly and you’ll see that we’ve fixed bugs or added to features to improve them, so that you can get things done quickly and easily. Look out for updates to the EE app and make sure you’re always on the latest version.

Complete waste of time

Years ago this app used to be great. I could log in see how much credit and data I had left and crucially add on with a few clicks IN THE APP

Now the app is just a waste of space as it seems everything you try and do just wants to take you out of the app into the web browser and then you have to sign in to the site so what is the point in the app?

So after trying to do an add on the app takes me to the website. They don’t make anything simple to navigate there and once I found a link to add ons would you believe it the page said error come back later. I did and it said the same thing again so now I can’t add any data to my phone and no I’m not singing up to a rip off monthly contact. The amount you charge for data is daylight robbery but at least I can just do £2 when I know I will use it

Seriously peed off with EE as a whole

Don’t bother with the usual copy and paste rubbish - let’s see if they bother to read this or just reply

Hi Richard. We know that you’ve chosen to use the EE app, so moving you to the website doesn’t seem right. Please bear with us, we are making improvements every day so that you can get things done in the app.

It used to work great

Now it’s completely broken and doesn’t work at all. Called EE and they told me not to use the app, but the EE website instead. Website worked fine to gift data, manage account, etc. Deleting the EE app for now.

Really Poor - Update Required

What can I say.. the app used to be fantastic but slowly over time it’s became more complicated and extremely frustrating to use.
For example: anytime I am on WiFi and attempt to click on ‘WiFi controls’ it will buffer for a few minutes then I notice at the top right hand corner of my device the WiFi has suddenly went off.. and it’s switched to my data (you cannot also use WiFi controls whilst on 4G/5G…) so I’m essentially stuck in a loop.
It’s as if the app isn’t able to handle the request of checking/monitoring the controls that anytime I click on the option ‘WiFi Controls’ the whole WiFi goes down in the house.

The WiFi works fine in the house when I’m NOT on the app but anytime I use ‘this app’ and attempt to go onto ‘WiFi controls’ it’s as if the app just can’t handle it. Extremely frustrating and it seems like this is needing a major update to fix these issues. The App is very clunky. It could easily be simplified and these technical issues ironed out. Maybe in the future but who knows.

Poor design & crashes a lot

The app doesn’t work most of the time and crashes a lot. The app is the reason why I left EE.

Useless..

2023 This apps now useless I may as well delete it. Abysmal. It's not simple to use at all, bugs daily. It's also not linked to other packages for tracking payments (home internet). I'm disappointed that it never remembers my password, "oops there was a problem" EE your the problem. Sim only from now on & pay when bills due, I see no reason to set up dd when nothing changes per year.. it’s only your signal strength that is your saving grace. How can you operate like this?! You don’t offer anything to your longstanding customers without some back hand costly tactic. Update 2024. Nothings changed the app is a buggy mess, can guarantee it will load desktop internet & log out of app. So what’s the point in the app? The add on feature is useless, always requires activation that glitches & is buggy, doesn’t recognise what’s being inputted. You are supposed to be a leading telecommunications company?! The product pricing for add on’s is never the actual price & dare a customer contact support, potentially get coerced out of the stated price on your website. This is why I’ll never pay dd, or upgrade my mobile with you. Buy the mobile you want, & if signal strength is a problem, potentially use EE (pick a winner tbh). Then just go sim only. Don’t pay more for less. Don’t give them access to your dd.

Not interactive.

I do not know if I am to blame EE network or the EE App or the EE network engineers but the interaction between the app and devices is very poor or more so the the EE network engineers are to blame.

I migrated from pay-as-you-go to a full contract and it is been months now I can not view my monthly payments or any kind of interaction with the EE app, instead the app is showing me ACCOUNT CLOSED. My monthly deduction is been made and I have internet access though.

I have visited EE centres more than 7 times; spoke with their engineers on phone for more than 3 times and no solutions was proffered for months now. Each person comes up with a suggestion that does not work - change email, reboot my phone, delete the EE app and reinstall, log out of the app and log in back in 5mins, log in from the website and not from the app - all these has not solved the issues.

Just to migrate from one package to another within a network is been a issue with the EE network is not good enough as the BEST NETWORK IN UK as it claimed.

I still do not have access to my app nor how my monthly deductions are been made except the text that prompt me of the deduction notice.

DISAPPOINTED, DISAPPOINTING
