  • Functional, but disappointing

    Good:
    - push notifications
    - basic functionality works

    Bad:
    - UI is identical to the mobile website interface and is relatively slow

    Ugly:
    - Multitasking is awkward: When you switch to another app and then switch back to PagerDuty, the app is unresponsive for a couple seconds and then the current page is reloaded. You're scrolled to the top of the current page, and if you had entered any text into the notes field, it's lost. This makes it difficult for me to copy/paste text from another app into notes for an issue.

I'll probably keep using it for the push notifications and persistent log in, but multitasking is painful. Please please please fix it.

  • Horrible app

I am still unsure if this app is better than nothing. A shoddy web interface is not what I was expecting, interacting with pagerduty through this is just awful. It is free, but of minimal value. Have a look at the New Relic app for an idea of what should be possible.
  • Absolutely incredible

The speed is remarkable! it is unbelievable intuitive.
  • Could be better

First of all it looks like really the app is just loading an HTML page formatted for mobile (you can see the top navigation bar disappear when you scroll down, that's non standard and this is likely not a native app).
I think one modal dialog is enough when you are acknowledging an event. When you use SMS to acknowledge an alert you just get a confirmation message back, in the app there is a modal dialog asking if you're sure you want to acknowledge the event, then another to let you know it worked, which you have to dismiss)
Also for some reason all push notifications don't make a sound, despite the fact that it is enabled in Notification Center settings.
Despite all this, it works, and I like keeping my notifications separate from my SMS app.
