Brilliant App
The Timely app is brilliant. This applies to the Mac app and the iOS app. They sync together really well, allowing for a fluid transition from Mac to iPhone when I'm on-the-go.
One of my frustrations is the control flow when the app is unable to reach their servers (usually caused by a lack of Internet connection). At this point, the app logs you out and asks you to re-enter your credentials. A lack of connectivity should prompt this information, not log you out.

Logging time - with prompts from my calendar
Great time logging app, this. Collects appointments from my calendar so I don't have to enter info twice. Just as good is the way it can either act as a timer, or let me enter the time spent on a task. Timely also makes time-reporting for different clients easy, and it syncs very well with my phone. Perfect at what it does. Just wish it did more.
I've been using the timely platform for a coupe a month now both on iOS and on my Mac using their web platform.

The 5th star is missing due to two issues I have with the app and platform. The first being a small hurdle, price. At $14 a month for full features (after 30 day trial) feels a little high. However, Free plans are great if you only have 5 projects or less (the limit). So right now this isn't an issue as I rarely have more than 5 projects at one time but in the future it could be a bigger issue. The second issue is that their is a huge feature missing in my opinion, Invoicing. I use another platform called HelloBonsai for all contracts and invoicing, and if they add a time tracker I'm leaving Timely. That said if Timely added an a invoicing feature then the choice to continue using this app is much more compelling.
As I dream for the perfect all-in-one platform for freelancers I'll still use this app happily.

Great design for organizing and tracking time
The design is great. It's just a bit buggy. Sometimes my timer will read thousands of hours, or negative thousands of hours. Restarting the app corrects the issue. Also, syncing between the iOS app and web app is inconsistent. The only feature I wish existed is the ability to drag a planned task from one day to another. Good, but could be Great
App works perfectly for what it was designed. Would be better if planning was as functional as the tracking. It brings in events from calendar, but there is no ability to enter time of day events take place; only the duration. If this were possible, it would probably replace my calendar. Efficient and usefull
As a freelancer, I appreciate this simple and efficient app. Special mention to the push notifications : ) To be totaly perfect, Timely should allow us to report a task in an other day instead of having to delete the one on which I didn't work and create a new one later.Ripailles
