Needs Some Work

Was excited that the app finally updated, but unfortunately you’re only able to view your bill and not pay it.

We’re halfway there, hoping I can pay from the app without having to sign out and back into speed pay in the near future, like similar utility apps. Until then!

Worse update

I can no longer login to this worthless app with my previous information as it doesn’t recognize me. I am brought into another screen to answer my security questions and my answers are incorrect. The only thing I can do is log in as a guest and pay with a credit card. And believe me that isn’t easy to really navigate. I originally had automatic monthly payment from my checking account and of course it declines. If there was a an option to give a 0 review that’s what I would give!!!!

Needs work

You can log into account but then have to login again to Speedpay to pay bill - not convenient. I tried to pay bill in app but Speedpay link would not accept account credentials though they were accurate. Went on computer and went back to the website and the same credentials worked to login to Speedpay and the bill was paid.

Horrible upgrade

They upgraded there payment section. It doesn’t work plus it takes a long time to fill out. No more paying thru the app. It takes too long. Back to mailing in payment. Worse is there is no place to report a problem with app. It sends you to customer service where you have to listen to a long message in their upcoming virtual meeting.

Response from developer

Hi Sue PT, thank you for reporting this issue with submitting a payment through the app. We just released an update that will hopefully address some of this for you. After signing in with your online credentials, your account and any SpeedPay wallet information will pre-populate. Note, with this first iteration you will have to enter your credentials again once you get to SpeedPay, but we hope that the other benefits of information pre-populating and access to your saved methods will offset this inconvenience in the short-term! Please continue to leave your feedback as we continuously improve the app. Thank you!

Waste of space

I download this app to see my bill because I travel and do not always get the paper bill. This app does not do that or at least it’s not easily accessible all the app states is do you want to pay a bill, setup payment or report an outage. I only want to see my bill. If that is on the app make it easy to get to. As of now it’s a waste of my phones space. I took it off.

The worst app ever

I don’t have idea why they created this app if never gonna work, in case you want a example it’s, never can log in, or I have to change my password, ask me so many time to log in, the app get frozen too many times, it’s just impossible to use, you should be make a good investigation on the resumes of the person who got hired to make this app.

Hi Manu3lcabrera, thank you for your feedback on your experience using our app. We just recently released an updated version of the app that allows you to login using your National Grid online credentials to view your account, what you owe and more easily submit a payment. We will be continuously delivering new features and updates to the app every few months so please keep giving feedback so we can incorporate your voice into the product. Thank you!

I’d give it a ZERO if possible!

The app doesn’t even give the ability to log into your account for any info! You have the ability to pay your bill or report/check for outages, that’s it!!! I have family that uses NV Energy and they have the ability to see projected bill forecasts, see how their appliances are eating up energy, pay bills, check/report outages, get alerts for outages, etc. This app is completely useless!

Watch out!

When I set up a payment from my back account, it tried to charge me a Western Union fee of $2.25. I had to call customer service to cancel that payment & resubmit through the website. Let me know when you fix it!

Hi Dolores3b, thank you for bringing this to our attention. I would like to make sure our payment team and SpeedPay partners are aware of this issue and investigate further. Could you help in providing more details about the region your service is in (MA or NY) and if you have made ACH payments in the past through SpeedPay and did not get this issue? I also want to highlight that we just recently launched an update enabling customers to login to see their National Grid account before paying but we are also building an integrated ACH payment experience in the app that is fee free. Thank you for sharing this issue and looking forward to more details and feedback on our app in the future!

Atrociously Coded Application

Just a wrapper for the website that doesn’t allow the use of logins. I suppose I should have expected this from national grid but it still hurts my soul to use. Turns out wrapping a broken website with a few buttons doesn’t fix the website at all.

Will be sticking with the website, which is far from stellar.

I just want to pay my bills. They should not make it this hard.

Worst app

This app is extremely painful to use. It makes you sign in twice to make a payment. Doesn’t show payment history for your account and half the time it doesn’t work and will say you don’t owe anything even after getting warned that you are late on paying a bill. Fix this please and make it easier. You’re a wealthy enough company to provide better.
