  • NEVER AGAIN!!

    I booked my ticket from Flighthub and the airlines is Westjet/Qantas. YYZ TO YVR, YVR TO SYD and I pay $200 for just 1 additional luggage for 23kg only. Not even overweight and when I claim my luggage in Sydney all my luggage is broken!! Crack everywhere, wheels are broken!!
  • Would you like to fly somewhere we don’t fly!? 😂

    Looking at flights to Fiji or Vanuatu, so jump on the app and confronted with a choice of 3 airports to Fiji and 2 to Vanuatu.

    Like most punters, I don’t know the ins and outs of Fiji’s airports so make the assumption that if those are the options then obviously Qantas flies there. Otherwise why show it?

    So pick one at random, plug in the dates and…wait for the booking engine to fall over. Turns out they don’t fly there at all! So why on earth is it even an option! Madness.

    Pick another one (50/50 chance now) and…same issue 😂. At least now, 10 minutes I’m down to one guess. Third time lunch, and finally get some flights (it’s Nadi btw, which isn’t even the top result on the list!).

    Now for Vanuatu and, guess what, same thing. Two options, only one of which they fly to, and it’s second on the list!

    Like seriously, how have you got the option to book flights that don’t exist in the search function? Feels somewhat basic to me

  • Doesn’t accept TSA Precheck number

    When entering traveller details for an existing booking, there is a Known Traveler Number field. The app will only accept a 9 digit value. However, USA TSA Precheck numbers are a combination of letters and numbers. Always have to use the airport checkin desk to get them to enter it for me, which is a pain.

    Hi Sorry for the delay in response. This will be fixed in the next App release, so please have a look in the next update. You should be able have alphanumeric entries upto 10 character long in line with the TSA defined format.   • App doesn’t work for seats and upgrades

    The app is not showing upgrade requests, letting me make them or showing what the status is (well, let’s be honest it’s always ‘rejected’ but a little piece of me has some kind of stupid hope that it won’t be). I called the platinum one help line (yep, the direct one for those of us who fly far too much and don’t have a life) and got told I don’t know how to use the app (as above, I don’t have a life because I’m on a plane far too often and pretty sure I know how to use the app). The website also doesn’t show it when in mobile form, and have to use a laptop to find out.
    The best feature of the app though, is when it updates to say you’re boarding you can’t access the boarding pass for a good 3 mins so you end up standing to the side and wishing you’d got a paper one like 10 years ago.

  • App does not work

    You can’t access fares or schedules to book flights. I’ve updated the app, updated my IPhone and still won’t work. There’s been numerous complaints online about this. It’s hard to imagine that QANTAS hasn’t fixed this issue as people can’t book flights.

  • Broken app, broken website

    Qantas has real problems when the app and the website yield a never ending loading widget. Back end is busted for days.

Could you try updating to the latest version of the app? If you are experiencing further issues, please send an email to mobileappsupport@qantas.com.au so we can investigate further. In the meantime - are you able to search for flights via a desktop/laptop device?
  • Generally a bad online experience

    The app sends you to a faux browser when you need to actually do something instead of actually functioning as a self contained app such as those other airlines have

    Often denies that routes exist which Qantas actually flies (ie Melbourne - NYC) and the prices are ALWAYS always higher than can be found on other sites. You can’t fly to a city - you have to choose a specific airport. But like in London, NYC or others - multiple airports exist and every other site allows for searches to the city.

    Bad app, more generally out of date online setup.

    Searching reward redemptions is tedious.

    Unclear how this is rated so highly. Half of the written reviews are negative.

    At first, I asked that I could accumulate the points of the passengers traveling with me to my account, but then the customer service said no, which was a bit funny. I wouldn't choose Qantas again.
