Fix the app
I was horribly late for work because when my driver arrived the app added someone else for a pickup before me. So I was told I had to get out and wait for him to come back to pick me up. I can’t count how many times my driver has been late for sitting at a corner store for 15 to 20 minutes. Or them simply making a 15 minute pick up turn into a 45 minute wait.

Ok for what it is
Pretty poor excuse for a transit system for such a large metro. No way to schedule pick up and drop off times in advance, half the time you can’t even get a ride and if you get lucky and do get one the wait time can be an hour or so which would be great if I could schedule that an hour in advance. But since I can’t I just have to play the “can I get a ride lottery” about an hour out and hope I get one. Oh wait I did get one but then they changed the eta from one hour to 5 minutes after only 5 minutes passed and I’m not ready and they are charging me a cancelation, yay.
Being flexible with public transit scheduling is expected, not having any way to schedule whatsoever or predictable pickup times within a 30 minute window is not. Had to use Uber to get to work after already using the service twice in one week after missing the train due to their eta being so off.
That said, those are all problems with Arlington not being willing to invest in real transit or expanding the taxi fleet. Outside these factors previously mentioned the app works decent.

DONT USE
Literally the worst app ever to use !! They are always canceling ur ride or giving u drivers that are 60 minutes away … and u can never get a via in the mornings no matter how early u get it !! And they have the audacity to charge you a fee because u don’t want to wait 60 minutes for a driver . don’t download if u don’t like getting ur time wasted stick with Uber / Lyft … not worth the struggle. Bad experience
The only thing convenient about this service is how cheap it is..For something this cheap idk why i would expect any better. But lets talk about how the drivers drop you off wherever they feel like or wherever the app tells them to which is often really far from your destination , 99% of these drivers have an attitude when you ask them to go to the actual place you want to go when it doesn't take more than 3 minutes driving time but a whole 30 mins to walk and find it by yourself..Another thing that i cannot stand is how these drivers feel the need to stop at places to get something for themselves and take forever and increase the already long waiting time..Or for example i recently had a driver literally speed past me and increase my wait time to another 12 minutes after he just arrived..This service has been inconvenient so many times but has saved me money other times .. i am mostly disappointed with this service

Worst app
Differentiate between the customer who already purchased a pass and customers without the pass and its really hard to get rides if you have a monthly pass because you are no longer a priority using this app only because its cheap
Over charging me
I’ve been using app since 2023 and it’s been great, however since July 16, 2024 every time I try to set a ride my card on file gets charged for a rides I took back in 2023 now I can’t even use app because it keeps charging for 2023 rides that I already paid for! I have emailed and called and still no resolution! I tried deleting my account however customer services says I owe for rides I never took because I can’t even set up rides, however the app still will show a balance owe on customer service side! I have multiple charges that were already paid for.

Terrible app
Drivers take forever to get to you. The app will tell you 20 minutes but most likely it’ll be 40-60. The app says they close at 9 but in reality it closes at 8:30 which meant I was stranded and had to use a much more expensive app. Many drivers are rude and will try to drop you off much further than where the actual drop off is. I will be constantly hitting book a ride and after 30 minutes of hitting it I still have not been able to find one. It also seems like if drivers are too far away then you just won’t get a ride even if there are seats open. I was on the edge of grape vine and Arlington and after an hour of trying to find a ride I was still unsuccessful.

Please add this feature
This morning I was able to book a ride that was supposed to be 15 mins for pickup. While I was waiting, my routes somehow got changed and longer. Timer went from 15 mins to 40 mins cuz this driver decided to filled up the seats and not caring if one of us will be late. I suggested adding a time arrival upon picking a location so the driver can see if there plenty of time for picking up extra people on the way or not. I had to canceled this morning because I was already being late by 30 mins. I think this time arrival is crucial feature.

VIA is getting worse everyday
Times never match, will change on you without notice, takes 45min just to book a ride and after you book it’ll be another 25min wait……. Don’t see this service will ever get it right, I’ve been riding for 2 plus years and it gets worse every day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Almost impossible to get a ride
Before the change to Arlington Transportation, getting a ride was quick and easy for the most part. Now that it’s no longer just Via and now run by Arlington, every time I try to get a ride it says they are experiencing high demand and I can’t get a ride anywhere!
