Surprisingly Advanced
This really is quite a gem. The interface is clean and well-organized, and my graphic novels look great. While that’s all good, the most surprising thing about this app is the amount of flexibility offered; with the pro version, you can connect Chunky to a myriad of servers and options for painless transfer. Effortless, intuitive, reading
I’ve tried a few readers and find this to be the best experience. I upload cbr files in large groups from my pc to onedrive, then download them directly using the app. The controls are intuitive and effortless to zoom, scroll, flip the page and have an enjoyable reading experience.BombHead286
Terrific, and almost perfect!
As an avid comic book reader, I set out a long time ago to find a reader app that I would be happy with. I don't demand much, really, and yet most of them have numerous flaws - or worse, just don't work.
Chunky is fantastic! Every feature I can imagine and then some.

Absolutely Perfect
I don’t usually write app reviews, I just don’t remember to do it. But after using Chunky for two weeks, I feel compelled to share my love for it. It is the only comic book reader I’ll ever use for DRM Free comics. I have a pretty huge collection on my laptop, and have used several different paid and free comic readers on the iPad before, this just blows everything else out of the water. Simple interface, beautiful and elegant, and runs as smooth as you can imagine. I liked it so much that I decided to get the pro upgrade just to support the dev, without caring what was in the pro upgrade.
And that was a bigger surprise. Thanks to this app I now know you can share your folders on windows 10 over your network. (I’m clearly not as computer literate as I thought). I don’t even need to use Dropbox or one drive or anything else. My entire collection is synced with the iPad. I just download and delete at my pleasure.
I haven’t encountered anything negative yet, but one of the recent reviews mentions the used storage still being in use after deleting comics. I’m not sure about that yet, but if it’s true, I’d be a bit worried.Show lessRottenfungus
Significantly better than comic flow!
I'd been using comic flow for ages, but was getting annoyed at it not using the full screen on my 2018 iPad Pro 11. I was hesitant to readd all my crap from google drive and a local nas, though. Then I figured out that Chunky has a really good import/download function and I was able to readd everything with a couple clicks. It sorts it better than comic flow ever did too. Great app!
A straight forward app for a casual reader like me. Have been using it for years. Tried some alternatives along these years (when reseting my old iPad 2, or iPad Pro 10.5), but never found anything that would fit me better.

Good, BUT
Easy to use. Can upload to cloud and transfer to device. No way to transfer wired. Comics look great and can easily be sorted with careful file naming. But, every comic you transfer will consume double the storage space. So a 500MB file takes 1GB on your device. Even when deleted the duplicate storage will remain. Even when deleting app the duplicate storage will remain. This used storage space cannot be viewed. It cannot be deleted. No changing of device or app settings will stop this duplication from happening. Eventually you WILL have factory reset device to get it back. Depending on how many comics you import and how much storage you have you may end up having to this pretty regularly. It's a pity because if this wasn't the car it would be a 4 star app worthy of paying for pro. Buts it's not so be warned.....Show lesscomic-fan09

Best cbz reader by far
This app sets the standard to what an iPad comic book reader should be! Simple and clear interface, download from a plethora of cloud drive options and it handles large collections like a champ’ ! I don’t need any of the pro version but I got it, just to support such a strong work. Very well done!morden
Ok but could be better
Really wish there was an option to better organize comics by publisher and then sub series. The organization options are limited. Additionally would prefer an option for a smaller picture in the folder view with a viewable file name.
