  • Swann certainly doesn’t care about app development

    Over the many years and after the many systems purchased, I’ve come to realise that although technology progress and I noticed, Swann has proven to have the least or no interest in doing so,
    While others like uniden, ring and others have stepped up their game significantly,
    I his app is years old with not one update over the past many years,
    It’s slow, poorly designed, very old GUI, the connection is unstable and fluctuate between wifi and 3G/4G connection at the slightest stop in connection speed, making viewing playback frustrating and almost impossible,
    They use other apps for other nvr and still suffer from the same fate,
    My neighbour purchased a cheaper Chinese knock off that had better quality cameras, better recorder, better app use and support and for half what it cost me to get this same system.
    The app is in desperate need of an update to improve and prolong its life usage and the trust in the company, but that’s just what will not happen.

  • Useless playback

    It works as an on the spot viewing of the camera's but if anything happens and you want to record it or whatever, you can't get past 1-2 minutes and you can't set it on specific times because it'll just round to the hour. Pathetic

  • Useless app

    As others have mentioned, this app used to work but for years now, it has stopped working. It always says log in failed. I have tried everything but considering this app’s last update was long ago, this has become useless. I’m surprised that a company that has currently still manufacturing would not continue to maintain their apps.

  • Inferior product, not user friendly interphase

    2 cameras’ night vision failed after about 1 year. Difficult to view recordings for the specific time point required. Having a system that is hardwired, one expects it to work better than wifi ones but this Swann system has been disappointing, considering the cost and the fact that it required an electrician to install. App constantly needs to be re-installed

  • Rarely works

    I’ve been struggling with this app for over 5 years now. It rarely works. Most of the time I get the “open failed” error, and the 10% of the time I can view my cameras, I loose the image after a couple of minutes. This app has one job, to allow you to view your cameras on a mobile device, which is rarely possible. I am now going to try another companies DVR/app that will work with my cameras and never try this one again.

  • Useless App

    The Swaan Security Cameras fail to compete against other security surveillance brands out there. Their online softwares for computers and apps are not compatible with most devices. Navigating through their features are difficult since it doesn’t allow you to do anything. I can’t even scroll to a desired date and time on playback mode on my phone or computer. The system is outdated and useless. They advertise to their product to be easy and convenient which is completely false. I highly recommend users to not purchase Swaan products or use their apps. Judging by how many different versions of apps they have for a security system, it shows that they don’t update their systems, but rather create a new one and leave the old ones sitting there for their long term users to frustrate over.

  • Horrible app

    The app is sluggish, doesn’t load half the time, and isn’t user friendly in any sense

    It’s cool for the live view, but I’m annoyed that 1. The date format is wacky and the time is in military, 2. It doesn’t automatically record your cameras so there isn’t a way to go back and review cameras. You physically have to push record and not close out of the app... and it just saves to your phone not the camera system. 3. It’s very outdated, you should consider revamping and updating this app.
    Needless to say I wouldn’t have this app and camera if my boss didn’t chose it.

  • When on earth is this app going to work efficiently

    Please can you help. I have had this app installed for around 4 years. I have had no end of issues with it. I really cannot understand why you cannot fix the ongoing problems. Once again I cannot access playback remotely. This was an issue some time ago, which was addressed and fixed. However I am now struggling with the same issue. I cannot access playback at home on WiFi or 4g or when I am away from home. Surely the whole point is to be able to access the system remotely so that you can keep an eye on things at home! When will this issue be sorted out. I am of mind to rip the whole lot out and buy a different system. This really isn’t fit for purpose and I have lost patience and seem to have wasted a huge amount of money. It really is exasperating, and totally pointless. Why can the issues not be addressed. Don’t sell a system that doesn’t work. It’s shocking.
