After months and months of frustration with the Bluetooth connectivity of this app and therefore not using livescribe+, to my surprise I connected my livescribe 3 pen and it uploaded 100 pages of notes in under a minute!! Time To Work On App

After some adjustments, pressing harder on paper, the pen is back to working. Still think they have a little tweaking to do but I am back to using my livescribe pen. I would like to give them 4 1/2 stars but it won’t let me. So I am giving them 4 stars.
** Update**. They have fixed the problem with the app that it no longer crashes. However, my new smart pen does not work. Sync shows gap in writings. So my other pen works fine. Hope they can get this figured out. **

So excited to do so. Not for long. App still crashing. Unbeleivable.
I love the poems and have had three different ones. However the app is truly lagging behind the Pen....Crashes constantly and it sometimes won’t pair with Aegir Pen.
I reduced my rating on from 2 down to 1 star. It has been a while and they have still have not fixed the app. Can’t even get the app to sync with the pen. It is time to fix the app. My recommendation is to not by a pen until you see that they have fixed the issues with the app. Otherwise, just get a pad and paper.Show lessLDesiena
App & Software virtually unusable
Like so many others, been using Livescribe pens for years and loved them. But now the app and software is practically unusable. I know seem to have a very expensive biro. Might as well go back to old-school notebooks and scan pages at end of day. Very disappointed with the declining level of support over the years.Show lessJB - AU
I CANNOT Rely Livescribe :-(
I’m sorry to say this needs some work and, as in the past, the Livescribe software leaves much to be desired. Now the Aegir relies solely on the iOS app it is even more critical to get it right. The unreliable software app coupled with the fact that the pen has no reset button (so when the pen freezes there’s no other option but to let the battery run flat and recharge!) means that I cannot rely on Livescribe. It has let me down on a couple of occasions. After all these years you’d have thought they could get it right. After all the “investment” (pen refills ($$s? really!!) notepads etc.) I’ve made into this system I’m so disappointed!Show lessEnergy1207
Back to being nearly perfect
Now that the crashing issue with iOS12.2 has been fixed it’s back to being nearly perfect. I’ve been using Livescribe pens since the original Pulse, and with the exception of the Sky I’ve enjoyed them all. In all this time the two missing features for a lot of people are the ability to change ink colour within the app and some form of cloud sync, as it stands I still have to manually sync the pen across 3 different devices.Show lessSteves 71
New update and once again...Has this upgrade actually fixed any issues?
Verging on incompetence now...Still will not play and livescribe pdf’s. App just crashes when opening them. These longstanding issues need to be fixed as it renders the whole premise of the pen useless until they are. Support cannot fix an issue when contacted. They seem not to care that your work has been lost due to poor their poor software.Show lessM.s..

After IOS 12.2
The app keeps crashing after updating to ios12.2. The aegir pen is pretty much useless without the app because there is no macOS or windows support for this pen. Absolute waste of money if the ios keeps crashing.Capt HS
Awful awful - no connection, non functional device
Had the Livescribe pen for several years but not used it in awhile until today when I needed it and my old notes in a hurry. The app crashes the moment I try to do or select anything and the pen won’t appear when I connect it to my Mac to try and update its firmware over usb instead of wirelessly.
I can see the iOS app recognise the pen but the moment it does it crashes.
If I switch off the pen the app only crashes whenever I try to do anything within it. No support and no help. Stay well away from this.Show lessJalex_uk
