This company is not loyal to their customers. One day just out the blue my cameras stopped working. Was always able to check the cameras away from home inside and out. Footage would stay on camera I guess about 15 days. Had an incident once at the house and had to review footage to give to police. The quality was pretty good as well when viewing from my phone. Then that day came when it no longer worked and I called to report it and was told I did not and never did have playback. The company had new upgraded cameras to offer and I was almost done with my payments, so this was their way of having me to upgrade my equipment. It just really upset me when I was told I never had playback when I know I did…this is not how you get your customers to upgrade their equipment (disconnecting it from their end). I had been with Vivint for at least 10 years. I have never missed a payment, by the way. The newly generation cameras that were install were guaranteed better quality and clarity and that’s a lie. These cameras are awful. They don’t even record properly. I’m so upset with Vivint for selling this poor quality equipment. Now every time I call to speak with someone regarding this I can never get a person to handle this issue.

  • Getting worse.

I did like Vivint at first. But customer service is not great at all. No matter what warranty or not you paying just for them to come look at it. The cams freeze none stop. Can’t record what you need to. Cause it freeze or app just crash on your phone. I have 1G speed no reason should stop. All cams set to HD. But still pixelated. Was told that our system is 4K that’s a lie. The app is ver slow. When you need to play back video later in the day to show cops something that happen like someone stealing from your mail box or someone in your yard breaking into something. You can kiss that goodbye. Cause trying to play back something it either freeze, buffers, or just crash. And can’t download the recording. Nope it crashes. The video keeps getting worse. Can’t see people’s faces at times. When someone triggers the alarm for long time. You don’t get a call like they said they would do. Nope hear nothing. I can’t wait to be done with Vivint to go somewhere more legit. Felt like I got lied to over and over again from Vivint. Hate talk bad bout stuff like this. But Vivint is not worth the money. And the tablet hub will sometimes work and most times black screen or touch screen stops working. They say oh unplug it and take battery out. Did that didn’t work. Feels like it’s all fake.

  • App

I honestly can say I regret getting Vivint. I first got them back in 2019 and was actually really impressed. We moved in 2021 and got set back up with them in 2023 and it’s been an absolute joke. I normally don’t rate and write reviews but I’m so fed up with them and wish they would take the tiniest bit of accountability but they won’t. Their app is trash. It used to be good about 5 years ago but now If there’s someone at the doorbell the app takes about 30 seconds to finally load and by then the persons usually gone. A lot of times it doesn’t load at all. Trying to watch recorded videos also is a joke. They struggle to load. Oftentimes they don’t so I just close the app. I’ve also found out that if you join an activity live it doesn’t record it, which there’s been multiple times we’ve wanted the recording because something funny has happened. Trying to talk to someone through the camera doesn’t work because it’s not two way talking. If I talk to someone from one of the cameras I have to push a button but it mutes the audio of the person I’m talking to like a walky talky so if they respond and I still have my finger on the talk button I can’t hear them, so it’s often a delay and a lot of people asking “what?”. I’m stuck in a contract or I would just get rid of it.
