Anti social business practice

Found success with the app as a petsitter, but i am incredibly disappointed with the support team.
Pawshake read chats in the app and then ban at the slightest suspicion of taking cash outside the app to avoid their incredibly high 19% fee for doing nothing other than hosting the app. a client cancelled a booking with me and pawshake caused a huge headache by suspending my account and denying a clients refund request, only because they suspected that payment happened outside the app.

Greedy and disgusting behavior. i would not recommend and rather find an option with lower fees and run by less invasive support teams.

Pawsatively Purrfect

I’ve been a pet sitter on Pawshake since 2019. I’ve got over 300 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ reviews. I’ve met hundreds of pet owners and their adorable pets. I sincerely love Pawshake.

I’ve used their customer service several times and they are quick and do an amazing job.

Lots of time wasters on this site

I attempted using Pawshake to find a pet sitter and while the app seems to make it easy, be warned. This is much harder than it needs to be.

Let’s say you do a search for the dates in question and come up with ten potential options. On closer examination you’ll find that five of these are actually not available during the dates you selected but they show up in search results anyway. Then, you’ll contact the remaining five. Two will message you back citing a some type of health problem which means their accounts are actually no longer active. One person will ignore you. The other two will message back with hopes to arrange a meet-and-greet and one of these people will almost certainly pull out at the last minute. So, you might get a 10% chance to actually proceed to meeting the sitter… These are obviously approximate numbers but based on my experience of using this app, the amount of inactive people, people with various sudden health issues / family problems / ill pets is just astounding.

I have been able to complete a booking through this app once only. The sitter seemed nice enough but it was clear she didn’t walk out dog enough as he was a bundle of energy every time he got picked up and needed tons of attention in the evening (unlike daycare when he’s exhausted).

I think you’re much better off to find a properly licences pet hotel and use this instead.

Don’t waste your time!!!!

This has been the most unprofessional experience with the worst support team I’ve ever encountered! I used this app for over a year and was initially very happy with it. As a highly rated sitter with numerous requests and regular clients, I had always provided exceptional service. Recently, I had a challenging situation where a dog briefly ran off but was safely recovered by me. I took the dog to the vet, covered all the expenses, and dealt with the stress and anxiety of ensuring the dog’s safety. The owner was very understanding and even requested my services again.

However, without any prior notice or proper explanation, Pawshake blocked my account. I understand that incidents can happen, but I handled the situation responsibly, and the dog’s owner was completely satisfied. Despite reaching out to the support team multiple times, I received no response, and they ultimately decided to cancel my account.

This treatment is completely unacceptable and makes it impossible to explain to my regular clients why I’m suddenly unavailable. Whoever is managing this app needs to seriously work on their professionalism and customer loyalty. The support team is anything but supportive. I strongly advise against downloading this app.

Désactiver un profil pour aucune raison valable!

Premièrement le système pour devenir gardien d’animaux a pris presque 6 mois parce que soit disant mes photos(35) était pas bonne et pas assez!
Aussitôt commencer j’ai eu plusieurs faux profils avec de fausses demandes!
J’ai eu des clients super, j’ai eu des réguliers et j’ai eu de belles places avec de belles maisons!
Mais aussi certaines places complètement affreuse et dégueulasse mais je pensais au soin des animaux avant tout alors j’ai pris sur moi

Une chère dame m’a contacter pour un service que finalement elle a décider de changer, elle ne savait pas comment le faire alors j’ai soigneusement décider de vouloir l’aider à résoudre ce problème
Parce que j’ai mentionner l’aider en personne pour l’application, eh bien de leur côté ils ont pris cela comme si une tentative de contourner l’application, sans email sans message ou juste un avertissement, sa désactive ton compte!!

Par la suite de plusieurs email à seulement au début 2 fois ils m’ont répondu
Première réponse a été de dire qu’ils ont vue une tentative de payer en argent comptant alors que pas du tout!
Deuxième réponse a été de me dire de faire la réservation sur l’application pour republier mon profil!
Déjà qu’ils profitent du 19% qu’ils prennent et qu’ils n’ont aucun service bien et respectueux sa ne répond simplement jamais! Sa fait l’argent sur votre dos et puis c’est tout!!

Comment la madame devrait changer sa réservation si elle souhaite pas ce service et le changer??
Un moment donner peut-être être plus intelligent serait bien aussi!
Non seulement ils surveillent tous vos messages par l’application mais aussi si vous ne faites pas assez de clients ou de visibilités ils vous supprime votre compte

De ce que j’ai pu entendre de Rover, elle est la plus mieux application concernant de devenir gardien d’animaux, même si il y a des frais à payer pour le devenir! Au moins leurs services est mieux!!

Passive agressive admin

Make sure you pay with the app otherwise they will send you a “Friendly reminder” and treat you to disable your account and when you go back on the app, they already disable it.

Awful app

**** WARNING DO NOT USE ****** I was an extremely high rated sitter on this app for months, had loads of returning customers and dogs, and I was abruptly removed with no warning and my account deleted. I emailed Pawshake over and over and all they did was ignore me and advise that I had broken policy rules without telling me which rules were broken. This meant that all of the dogs that we had booked in to look after were left with a cancelled booking but with no notification of such, and no offer from Pawshake to rebook their dogs elsewhere. We actually had a dog booked in for the day that our account got cancelled who’s owner had to track us down on Facebook in order to see if we could still have their wonderful dog. The staff were rude and the app was so clunky and old to use. Pawshake took 20% of our fee but they seemed to put none of it towards app development as it was extremely old fashioned. Use rover instead or set up your own facebook/ instagram page and you will be in a much better position.

Scam galore, terrible support

I tried the app as a dog sitter, most of the messages come from scammers asking for Address, Telephone number, Email and IDs even before any kind of meet and greet. Other similar apps don't have this issue. Additionally, if a scammer or a spammer contacts you as a dog sitter Pawshake will ban your account. Their support is terrible, they will not look into any issue raised by the dog sitter. I was banned from the app because I received a message from a spammer. Here is pawshake automatic system before being banned: Our automated system has detected that USERNAME is a spammer. For your own privacy and security, always communicate via the Pawshake messaging platform. Don't share your phone number with pet owners before you have met them.

A pre-warning to dog sitters

My wife and I had been using Pawshake for over a year and had looked after several different dogs, while managing to maintain an overall rating of 5 stars. Sadly we recently had an incident with a dog which required it needing a trip to the vets for minor injuries sustained to its paws, and we advised the owners to go through Pawshake regarding the vets bills, as part of their “Peace of mind guarantee”. Pawshake however have since thrown us under the bus and removed our account completely with absolutely no notice or reason, giving us nothing but temporary access to download our invoices before it gets deleted for good. While this app may provide a handy solution for dog owners, if you’re the ones looking after them just be warned that they’ll be very quick to throw you under the bus too.

DO NOT USE THIS APP

Consider this your warning. If you’re a pet sitter looking to pick up some extra work do not use this app. They will threaten you if you grab the contact number of someone who has specifically asked to be contacted via their mobile and then will mark your account as ‘not active’. Not only this but they will not pay you for any bookings completed once your account is marked as ‘not active’ and when you contact them about this threatening legal action they will not respond and delete your account + cancel any upcoming bookings instead. I’ve never been so horrified by a service based business in my life. STAY FAR AWAY FROM PAWSHAKE.
