Scam

An app that is designed for people to watch other people’s pets, yet no customer service?? The safety of our pets(family members) should be taken very seriously, yet this app allows so many scammers it’s sickening. Did someone just make this app for quick buck then let the scammers take it over ? Sad because it’s a great idea in general, just go find another legitimate app it’s not this one !!!

It is a SCAM

I resently registered on this app and already realising that it is a total scam. Pet sitter recieving money in a 7 days! It is a lot! I was gonna call Pawshake to ask a couple questions and realised that they HAVE NO SUPPORT LINE! Totally! There are no possibility to set up a price for a puppy rate, and looks like owners using it. No flexebility with anything. There is no even time for drop of and pick up you can set up on the app. No meet&greed setting. Horrible app!

DON’T BUY THIS APP!!!

This is the most horrible app. First, I was checked for a whole month and kept getting error messages in my 150 word essay, instead of checking my ID documents and making sure I'm a real person. Secondly, inside the application looks like a demo version, where there is almost no information about the owner or the animal. That is, neither the owners really have confidence to whom they give their pet, nor the sellers of the service know what I am dealing with. Also there is no way to complain or report fraud in the program. For all my time using the application (2.5 months), I received 4 clients, among which 2 were FRAUDSTERS. At the same time, I am registered in another app, where I have regular real clients. That's why my conclusion is this: for pet sitters, the application is not convenient, for customers it is not interesting and few people use it, but fraudsters are really in their environment, where service sellers become victims. Be careful and avoid this app, thanks!

Awful customer service from app creator

Honestly loved this app at first - was perfect for a University student to earn extra money doing something they enjoy. The clients I’ve cared for are lovely and have had no issue with finding them. Unfortunately the support system is awful. I have had trouble moving homes and with my personal life so was not able to conform to the 24 hour response time limit twice due to having no access to wifi or mobile data abroad. I understand there is a policy but removing a trusted sitters account for not replying to 1 message is a joke. Then received no response when I brought this up. They reactivated my account only to delete it 3 days later for absolutely no reason. Was told it was because I didn’t respond to a message from 6 months ago even though that had never been an issue in the last 6 months… very strange. Shame because it leaves clients with a small bunch of sitters to pick from. I’ve heard many negative comments regarding this app over the last 3 months so won’t be surprised if it collapses.

Non-Existent Support & Ridiculously High Standards for Gallery

Impossible standards for pictures in the gallery resulted in my profile never being approved. When I reached out to support, I never received a response. Use Rover instead.

Owners of app keep deactivating me

Been on the app for years and 5 times i have written even while i have scheduled jobs on as a sitter, the owners of pawshake repeatedly and deliberately (ive asked them to stop and they continue) to deactivate my account as a sitter without any notification they have done this and then tell me i need to respond quicker saying the average response time should be 1 hour!
I have two dogs myself working casually and also full time uni. If i have a working shift there will be times i wont be able to respond
I had a case recently where i told the person I could not look after their dog and they replied back asking the same thing and i didnt reply as they were being pushy and I had already said no- and the owners of the app turn my account off. To the owners- stop being sneaky snarky people

Great app, Intuitive interface

As both a sitter and owner the app is quite intuitive. It would be good for the app to continuously ask for feedback on how to improve! For example, there is a timer for sitters to respond, there should also be a timer for owners to book, during busy periods like Xmas it’s counter intuitive to have your last availability in limbo and have to knock back other requests while you wait for the first request to book. It seems counter intuitive that the app doesn’t want owners to book (aka PAY pawshake) as soon as possible, the money isn’t released to the sitter until after the booking has ended anyway. Some owners are rude, there should be a way to block owners from seeing sitter availability if they have behaved inappropriately - of course sitters don’t want to confront owners because it can affect our sitter rating. The app could also benefit from push notifications to remind sitters of their commitments, currently I have to use google calendar and it seems like a lot of double handling. Overall a good app, could do with a few tweaks.
