It’s giving me a career
I always was a dog lover. After 32 year with a good career as a journalist,I realised that I hate doing that. And I started thinking on how I’d could live doing what I most like in life: dealing with dogs! Initially i thought that I could study to be a vet. Best service ever!
We had some bad luck with boarding our animals, and traveling anywhere over night was something we had to plan out months in advance for our pets. Pawshake has changed my life, I can travel worry free, book last minute, and most of all our pets are calm and happy when we arrive back. Absolutely amazing service every time!

App not set up for customers from U.S.
The app requires registration, which gives you a list of countries that does not include the U.S. If you enter something else thinking you can change this later, think again. Prior to booking, you have to enter your phone number, which helpfully starts with the country code that cannot be changed. If you are traveling from the U.S., this app won’t help you find pet services.

Great for pet owners !
This app is really helpful for pet owners and also pet lovers. It’s cheaper having your pet stay at a pet sitter on this app instead of a kennel. And it’s also good money for those who are pet sitters . When I first signed up to be a pet sitter, it was really hard and confusing trying to sort out the payment business as I had no idea how PayPal worked . But after a bit of figuring out it was all fine . Definitely recommend this app 🙂

Terrible customer support for sitters
Although this app is a good platform to find a small job, I had the one if the worst experiences with the app as a sitter. The support team is pretty responsive in terms of communication but when there is a dispute, the customer support guy (Sam in Australia) was authoritative and was not willing to resolve issues from a fair and balanced stand point. He was essentially saying that I should appreciate that they cannot do too much to intervene and that I am lucky that they didn’t remove me from the app because I had other good reviews. It is rude, they are treating sitters as if sitters are their inferior, the irony is they get (20% out of my pay) benefit from my work. Also, the only payment method is through PayPal which limits me to get paid on time.
