  • Faulty some times

However it does work most of the time. It’s always having pending purchases then when I do get paid it’s still pending then I get charged an overdraft fees even though I have enough money. Please fix the app it’s awful. People can’t afford the overdraft fees that are literally just because the app can’t catch up to the purchases. Sorry had to be truthful to inspire excellence.

  • Our bank

This is an A1 bank we have no complaints on any thing with the bank, everyone is friendly and welcoming you when you go in and friendly at the drive through. I would recommend this bank to anyone needing an account.

I like everything about this app and all of the qualities of First Financial Bank. All of your employees go over & beyond to make sure our questions or concerns are answered in a timely fashion.
I’m a New Waverly Bank customer and have known Kim Williams and worked with her at a previous Bank for fourteen years before I retired in 2008. All the other employees at the New Waverly branch are like family to me and eager to help !
    Sincerely

  • Decent but needs improvements please

Easy to read, relatively intuitive on most use cases. I suppose for small personal usage which is 90% of your customers, it’s fine but on the commercial side, it would be nice to have some separation between asset accounts and loan accounts. After years of use, I still have no idea what the color coding is for on the account lists, whether it’s different shades of red or blue or gray. Two different colors for assets and liabilities would help. Next, as convenient a feature as photo deposits are, it’s also easy to forget what a deposit was for and when you go back to look at the transaction, only the amount is listed. An actually photo of the check would be nice when it’s time to reconcile your accounts. Finally, I wish records were kept a little longer online than they are. My Chase account keeps your records available for 7 years. Thanks for listening, good bank, good people!

  • Fraudulent claim

Everything went really well. I am from Eastland Texas and had to go to another town to the dentist which is an hour and a half from me. I had to be there at 8:30 a.m. Them come back in on hour and then come back at three. So I had to find things to do. So I thought about going to the bank. This branch was very nice everyone helped me out. I got my new debit card and filled out the paper about the fraud.

  • I use this app daily

I love the quick access to my finances with this app. I use it every day. Appreciate the alerts to know immediately when a debit is made with my card. Wish the credits and debits by check or ACH would give an immediate text also. The once daily generic text showing transactions occurred is of no real use except to alert you to go see what transactions occurred. And the process to delete those notices is again irritating and difficult. For a period of time it was easy, but the last update returned it to the difficultly process. Overall, I still love the app.

  • APP Photo check deposit

If it wasn’t for the way First Financial does the APP photo check deposit I would have given a 5 star rather than the 2 star since I found the APP photo deposit I have used it several times and the convenience side of it is a great idea BUT It isn’t convenient at all because when you use the APP photo deposit it takes at least 3 days before you can access the money and then when First Financial do finally deposit it into your account the last photo deposit I did it has been 4 days and we still do not have access to the full amount. This feature is suppose to be fast and convenient BUT it is everything but fast and convenient. The way I see it this is all computer generated so in turn of that a photo deposit should be faster, the TV commercials indicate that when you do a photo deposit it immediately goes into your account but sadly it does not First Financial Bank sits on it for several days then they they don’t add the full amount into your account.
Fix this and I’ll gladly give a 5 star rating

  • Needs more features

It works but it needs more capability for a business owner. For example the ability to label transactions is missing. Also every time your password expires, you can’t log in, but the app doesn’t say why. It’s not until you get to a computer and try to log in that you find out. The business bill pay section is also very clumsy. You have to go to “manage payees” each time of your paying a person and not a business. Zelle and Apple Pay compatibility should also be available.

  • Updating information

I think that updating information like a cell phone number should be able to be completed from the app or if you call in with authorization from the account holder instead of sending emails with your social attached or having to go into a facility to get that done. I understand it can be seen a security risk but it makes the app unusable in the event you change phone numbers.

  • A little behind the times

It probably wouldn’t be a bad idea to look at some other financial apps. The list of changes needed is pretty long; but password/access has to be at the top of the list.

It’s crazy to require users to change passwords as often as you do. I have multiple accounts with hundreds of thousands in them and they don’t require me to change. You allow simple passwords now with as little as 6 characters. Require an 8 character complex password and forget about make MGR me change it. It’s unnecessary. Once you do that, add biometric recognition to the app like everybody else has already done.
