  • First Financial app is convenient in many ways.

    I appreciate being able to log in easily to check/monitor our accounts. I have enjoyed being able to send or receive money with Zelle. It is easy to check my credit report at a glance. My spending is categorized for me. The features offered surpass my previous banking experiences. Thank you!
  • Security requirements are abysmal

    After literally decades of the same password with no issues, you now have to have a short dissertation to enter your account. It keeps having me register my device to get access. It is less friendly now than 20 years ago. Why couldn’t they just leave a great product alone? Now I have to go to the bank to get help resetting my password and getting back in my account on a fairly regular six month schedule. How is having to write down my password and keep it with me safer than my old password of over 20 years? Whomever brought in these new (year or so ago) IT requirements should be taken out back and beaten. I’ll supply the wet noodles.

  • User Friendly

    The app is very user friendly and easy to navigate. My only issue is the Financial Tools. That may not actually be the app itself, but the programming. I have the same weekly transaction for my church, and although I’ve told the system to mark it a certain way each time, it doesn’t recognize any part of the name. The transaction is slightly different each week (last portion of the phrase). The first set of words are the exact same each transaction. So the algorithm should pick up that up, but it’s built to only recognize a word or series of words if it matches 100%. So although the first portion never changes week to week, the programming cannot catch it. And then, the category the system defaults to, makes absolute no sense. If a word has the full word “church”, how does that default to vacation? The Financial Tools is slightly newer so hopefully they work on improving it. Otherwise, I love the bank and the app features.

  • Why the bad reviews?

    I think the developers did a great job on this app. It’s just like using the website, which is much more convenient than finding your way around the old app. The only difference is using a menu button to display the options available rather than seeing them on the left of the page. I think it’s a huge improvement!

  • Great App

    I have been a customer of First Financial Bank for almost 40 years and was an employee over two separate stretches. The app is very good and it allows you to do pretty much anything you might need to do to complete your banking needs. I love the alerts feature which sends me text messages for various things happening with my account. They keep the app updated and fresh. I really like the Bill Pay feature that allows me to make payments without having to go to all the other payment sites. If they can’t send the payment electronically they’ll cut a check to the payee! I love being able to set payments and know they’ll get paid! FFB is one of the best banks if not THE best bank in Texas!

    Not impressed at all

    Not impressed. It struggles with online deposits and I frequently have to restart my phone. Then I don’t know if the deposit went through until/ unless I get an email. But even that is problematic when I have more than one check with the same amount because the email only tells you an amount but no image or other identifying information.

    It doesn’t support Face ID which makes it hard to use secure passwords especially since you force us to regularly change the password every 3 months or so.

    I took away 3 stars because you ruined the mobile app. The mobile banking app used to be so easy to use. Now, it is no longer quickly updates transactions. It takes FOREVER to load—to the point I often just give up and hope the site is up and working before I seriously need to pay a bill. I don’t know why y’all fixed what wasn’t broken. This new app layout is not as attractive as the old one (I’d go so far as to say it is the most aesthetically displeasing app I’ve ever seen), and to recap, it’s sloooooooowwwww and cumbersome. I truly hate it. The old mobile app was bright and attractive and looked appealing and modern enough. The new app makes me feel like I’ve gone back to an Atari system or the earliest Nintendo. I love the people at our local bank— they are great, but, seriously, just figure out that this new “look” for the mobile app is an abysmal failure. And fix it.

  • Outstanding

    I love the latest update where I can view my credit score AND do my banking all at the same time! The whole financial picture all in one place… I love it! 😃 I would like to inform someone about the fact that the app occasionally freezes and spins when I try to log in, forcing me to reboot my phone entirely before it will actually open. Other than that, this app is PERFECT.

  • Great EVERYTHING👍

    My wife and I have banked at another bank for over 25 years. We changed to First Financial Bank about 8 months ago. We are so pleased with our choice of moving. Every one of FFB employee’s are so nice and eager to do whatever it takes to please their customers! Thank you First Financial Bank and may God bless each and everyone of you!
