  • My course with Second Nature

    I am very grateful to have been given the opportunity to join this course. I am seeing improvements in my health already by using your recipe book and exercising more. I make it part of my daily routine to exercise for twenty minutes. I am currently covering an area at the back of the house with stone and I have spread three tons per day, two more to finish it tomorrow. I am going away at the weekend to have a rest. I hope I get get my weight closer to 80 kg by the end of this year. Thanks for all the advice I get doing the four week courses. Even though I have already done them, I seem to get more benefit doing them again

  • Early days but ok. 1 glaring miss…

    App itself seems well thought through other than, weirdly, the app only reads weight measurements from apple health instead of read and write. So you can pair your scales to the app and it will record your weight but it won’t update apple health. But you can update Apple health with a weight measurement and the app will update from Apple health. So the most efficient way for me to record my weight in one place is to unpair my scales and record it through Health manually 🤷🏾🤦🏽‍♂️. Bit of a waste of set of smart scales really…

  • Great New App

    A great new app to help me make those important healthy lifestyle choices. It is simple & straightforward to use. Helpful daily reminders, informative short videos, recipe book…all important scales and articles to read packed with encouraging positive messages. My own personal health coach is available to encourage and give advice as well as a group chat with others on the same journey. I still have to put the work in to achieve my goals but overall I’m really impressed with Second Nature.

  • Brilliant Programme

    I’m finding the Second Nature programme so we’ll thought through, covering a range of issues that we all have to face in our journey to a better lifestyle and sustainable weight management.

    It isn’t overwhelming and helps you progress in a very sensible way. The support and guidance is delivered in a friendly and helpful manner that you can do at whatever pace suits you, and you have a great nutritional coach to ask for additional help when you need it.

  • An amazing programme !

    Second Nature is a brilliant programme because it provides really helpful personalised advice with recipes and tips for staying on track but most importantly a supportive community to make you feel you are all in it together. You only have to look at the group weight loss to see how successful it is and that is improving the nation’s health and saving the NHS thousands of pounds in not having to treat so many with full blown diabetes . Whoever had the idea and implemented it deserves a medal !

  • Holistic

    Holistic is a good approach although demanding as there is a lot of information. Much of this is very different to what was regarded as best practice to lose weight and many diets were ineffective and if not led to rapid regain of weight afterwards. The holistic view is about lifestyle choices and is a little subversive with much paid employment based on wholly sedentary fairly unnatural work. Striking a balance is difficult, waiting tables not sedentary, call centre work wholly so. Second Nature has revived my enthusiasm for such thinking, or maybe I just enjoy stirring things up a bit !

  • Great app!

    I really like the digital scales paired with the app so I can very easily keep track of my weight loss. They paired easily with my iPhone 11. I’ve managed to lose just over 2 stone in 8 months and I’m still losing weight. I’ve learned so much more about nutrition than I knew before. I feel more confident in making the right choices. It really feels like a lifestyle change rather than a diet. The recipes are great - I enjoy them more than most of the food I was eating before! Blood test is now reading in the normal range. It just goes to show if you give the app 100% of your effort, do what it recommends even if you don’t think it will work, you will see tiny incremental changes that all add up to a big improvement.

  • Just Superb!

    No gimmicks, no sugar free choc bars, but good food cooked from scratch everyday.
    SN have been quite revolutionary and inspirational in helping me understand nutrition and weight loss, from emotional interactions and what I call ‘blind blockers’ to how we deal with food and our weight.
    The nutritionists are great, really know their subject and how to support your journey, whether it’s weight loss or other nutritional issues. The numerous on line communities are brilliant too.
    I’ve lost all the weight I wanted to loose and kept my weight stable for over 6months. Plus, and this is the GAME CHANGER!…… with their fantastic recipes and shared nutritional learning I feel I now much better understand what I eat and confident I can maintain my weight.
    I’ve always cooked and liked cooking my main meals from scratch, and thought I understood a lot about food nutrition, SN helped me raise that level of understanding in a startlingly easy to apply way. Their recipes are wholesome, up to the minute and definitely family friendly, so much so that many recipes have become weekly go tos. THANK YOU SECOND NATURE! You really have changed my life! 😇

  • My Second Nature Experience

    I was put on this plan by the NHS as I was mildly diabetic and the next step was to go on medication. After 12 weeks my sugar levels were down to an acceptable level.
    Of the various diets I’ve tried during my life I find the Second Nature plan is the easiest to follow and maintain. There are a good selection of recipes and most of the ones I’ve tried have gone down well with the rest of the family, maybe with an extra serving of carbs for them. It’s ok to have days off for special occasions or even relax it a bit for holidays and then get back to it again. It’s good to have support from others when you need it. I can’t believe how many people have told me how good I’m looking which is a real boost.
    I like that you also get help with sleep, stress and positive mindset. That’s really helped me. I do my daily gratitudes most days and write a daily journal.
    I haven’t really taken up the exercise part of the plan because I’m waiting for a hip replacement but I’m still usually pretty high on the steps leader board because I’m on my feet most of the time at work.
    I would ( & have) recommend this plan.

    Downloaded 3 times the app and each time it was impossible to submit my answers and move to the next step (access the app) because of a message error
