Great email security
This service is excellent for the cost. I have had Tutanota for a few years now, and they have performed very well. As a developing service they continue to add features and services. As a service I’m paying for with my money (as contrasted with my mined information, or with my advertiser value) I can trust this service to be more focus on my needs and desires as a customer. ( rather than the product)
They continue to grow and to impress.

Great Secure Email Option
I think in todays world secure email is not a want but a need. Email is already considered a legal document and you don’t want people getting accessing to your information or personal emails. Thank you Tutanota for a cool name and for putting security first!safetymindedmama
Cannot Zoom in to Read Small Type!
I would love to switch to Tutanota for my primary service but they force you to use only their email client and for me anyway, it has one fatal flaw: you cannot pinch-zoom to read emails with tiny type. Proton mail has it, Apple Mail for iOS has it, gmail…yep. Why can’t you guys add this simple feature? Many emails are not properly formatted for iPhone and the type is way too small. Just let us zoom in and read these emails and I’ll be a customer for life!Show lessJ Jones1234

I switched from gmail to Tutanota several years ago and I really enjoy it. The interface is responsive, clean, and simple. The app has been stable. Everything pretty much works like I want it too.

Yes, it has issues that you don’t see in major email like google and those things, but, I receive 0 spam emails, love having different email addresses and only pay about a dollar a month. I didn’t want to spend too much on email yet I wanted privacy. That being said, I support Tutanota and their mission.Show lessJ Essenze

The privacy features are great, like images not loading by default to prevent the sender from knowing when the message is read, the end-to-end encryption which makes it much harder for your emails to be spied on, and the fact that emails are encrypted at rest. However this means it doesn’t support POP/IMAP, i.e. you can’t use the default iOS mail app, nor any other clients which allow you to import accounts.
I appreciate that you can read the emails offline now, but I would like to see a way to easily export/import all emails in accordance with the industry standardShow lessMitchel75814

The app does lack some functionality if you’re coming from a more robust office service, but def not a deal breaker. I appreciate the position they take on privacy and security, which is a must have that the other big name apps simply do not have. Been using this service for a couple of years and will continue to use it as long as it remains independent. Customer service is awesome too. Keep up the good work!Show less153849572
User for over a year now
I have a paid plan now after using the unpaid version and the direct updates from Tutanota about their plans, security issues, app dev updates, etc is probably what I appreciate most. There’s 100% transparency and reassurance that my emails are mine and not getting scanned and stored by Big Tech. I use two other encryption email platforms but Tutanota is my favorite bc of their communication with users and I recommend this to those who know how important online privacy is.Show lessTwuejdn
Absolutely impossible
I have been trying to restore a deleted free account with multiple Visa cards that have a substantial balance. I selected the premium paid account to merge the deleted account that we need restored to reach contacts within.
Each time, the payment failed & then a strange picture of a female popped up covering her mouth with a message that the IP has been blocked to prevent abuse.
I find this unprofessional. Tonight, those of us working from home overnight, tried again- with zero success on the website & no success via the app. Please fix this issue.
How possibly can anyone restore an account if bank cards for the monthly fee won’t process?
Are you charging the monthly fee or trying to charge several times as much maybe?
Why isn’t us processing if the balance is accurate & it’s an actual Chase Visa card? Please inform. Semper FiShow lessyocks
